Minimalia, our older Jack Russel, turns 11 today. Hooray!
And another one of my friends had a baby last night..... It all started at the beginning of December, when my friends here in Finland had a sweet baby girl called Chloe. Then on New Years Eve, my Australian friend had a girl, Charlotte, followed by another Charlotte just 3 days later, born to a friend in Holland. A week ago, my Australian friend's sister had Ella (who unfortunately doesn't fit into the C-gang). But then last night Cecilia was born. Can anyone guess her middle name? Yes it's Charlotte! :)
And I am.... working. Now writing a general introduction to my thesis, outlining the uses for the different syntheses I discuss in about 80 pages. They range from butterfly feromones to lysergic acid....
And having trouble with Gib's hooves again. Have been battling this hoof fungus for a year. Tuesday a chunk of his frog (central rubbery part at the bottom of the hoof) fell off, which means the nerve endings are protected by too little horn, and he goes lame. I think his digestive problems are to blame, specifically a lack of hydrochloric acid, but I need to do some more research and then I'll involve the vet. Just have to finish my thesis first, priority number one.
