the departed: i think you guys should watch it. i don't think you'll be disappointed even if you watched the original. and since i did watch the original, i can only say that i love it in an entirely different way..with a few similarities.
both versions have an all-star cast, all of who i am familiar with and have grown up with... all the actors have different acting abilites and bring to the characters different aspects of their styles... all beneficial. of course the departed has a few changes from the original... but i don't think they're bad choices.
so in the end, go see it. i think you'll enjoy this suspensful movie and the genious that is Infernal Affairs.
