yes, i'm a dork. yes i'm obsessive. yes, i love my gadgets.
so my cousin ordered me the ipod car charger and fm transmitter... a month ago. the charger came about a week later.. but the transmitter was expected for AUGUST.. my gawd. impatient me, logged onto his account and fiddled around with the order.. he said he chose free shipping, he didn't. it was standard.. still shoulda been faster than free shipping, right? well.. i changed it to free shipping. and the expected delivery changed!! earllllier.. wow. ok. yay! so i decided to change the shipping address too, because i would not be home at all to get it if it came after the july 4th weekend... before the road trip. so yeah. also had to pay for it myself since changing the address and such..i had to re-enter his card number and crap..maxed out... so i put it on my card.. anyways.. the transmitter was expected for delivery between july 12 and 14th... with nothing better to do out of work, i keep checking the package on amazon.. it shipped. yayyyyyy.. keep checking in. last night, i checked it before going to bed.. not really expecting any change because it's not july 12-14th yet. well, it said it was delivered... so i run out and check the mailbox. KEY!!!! yay.. which means package in one of the bigger slots, right? well. no. it was JUST A KEY.. no tag or anything.. those keys usually come with tags to tell you which box they went to. but this one didn't. it's 10:30pm, dark, and i'm fiddling around with it... trying to figure out which box. i twist and turned EVERY lock on the metal thing.NONE of them worked! saddened me went sulkily back into the condo... complaining in my head and to ray. gargh. wtf. i'm confused. worried that the mailman gave MY key to someone else... :(:( and that i would never get the package... complain complain... i even dreamt about the damn thing... constantly twisting the key..and having it unlock nothing. it's sort of a rusty key... regular mail one. not bigger like the other big box keys...
so i wake up this morning... still worried.. and angry that it's a sunday. ahhh... and i go out and try again. yes, i'm obsessed. figured, day time, you know. maybe something will change. i slipped the key into the biggest box key hole and TURNED IT. o_0 it turned?! yayayayayayay.. two boxes. hm... tisha got her pants! so we were both excited... hehe. ok. call me stupid. i don't know why the hell it didn't work last night. just one of those nights i suppose. i wonder though, if i had slipped them into the wrong keyholes.. because for each of the big boxes, there are two slots. one for the recipient.. and one for the mailman to retrieve the key... which stay locked into the box after using it once...
so yeah. now, i'm playing with my music on loud speakers. i can hear my music on the radio downstairs away from my computer. i will also be able to play all the music in the world in my car without having to switch cd's all the fuckin time... music, it's a good thing.
