Chris's brother is over from Australia (UP from Austraila, surely?) on an unexpected visit and we're all going record shopping this afternoon - bliss! I still have £30 spare from a payment just before Christmas that I was going to spend on new underwear, but I'd rather have old saggy undies and new-to-me records any day of the week :) If I can get Chris up without too much trauma it should be fun.
I haven't made any short story submissions in too long, so that's on my list to do next. I need to set up new folders for this year too, and I need plastic wallets. It looks like a trip to Smiths might be in order. I have a couple of places to send things, and a lot of things to send, and some glimmerings of ideas. New year, clean slate and all that.
I can't really see what I'm typing as the sun has come out and is shining directly on the screen. If I wasn't so lazy, I'd get up and close the blind.
Our new phone arrived. It takes 24 hours to charge, so this time tomorrow I should be able to phone people again. No excuse for putting off the doctor and the plumber then. I've ordered a new mouse too, a laser jobbie than means I will once more be able to scroll to my hearts content.
So, I'm going to ship "Snow Boots", and possibly "Lokemi Spirit" to Bridge House for their new anthologies. Fingers crossed for my little stories as they venture out into the big scary world!
