23. How long does it usually take you to complete an entire story-from planning to writing to posting (if you post your work)?
Depends on the story. Some short stories ("Snow Boots", fox example, arrive fully formed and take just a few hours to write down. Others ("Miracle of Tregarrow Bay" - remember that one?) take weeks and lots of swearing. I always leave it a few days to settle before I reread, edit, and then, hopefully, submit.
This week I want to make cake, so I need to go and buy things that go in cakes, like eggs. And food colouring. Found a whole packet of icing sugar in the back of the cupboard, which I KNOW is down to Oobie, so at least I don't have to buy that.
I also need to take an admin day. Catch up on emails, tidy the pit, file my paperwork *gulp!* That's my aim for tomorrow, as have a scene I really want to write today that's been rattling around in my head for a while. Shopping first though!
