Because, lets face it, this weekend is not going to be condusive to writing, thanks to the huge party we're having on Saturday and the getting-ready for it, along with the very welcome presence of
hebinnewzealand, London Dave and Oobie. And as heb has a job interview *wheee!* on Monday and wants me to go shopping with her *wheeee again!* tomorrow, there ain't going to be much time.
So, the FPR, 24 hours early - word counts will probably reflect this.
Reading - "The Ships of Merior" Haven't yet reached page 100 *shamefaced* Determined not to let book defeat me, but wondering if someone is sneaking in extra pages while my back's turned. Not sure if it's the book, or me...
Writing :
"The Miracle of Tregarrow Bay" is FINISHED - whoopee! Sweated and sworn over, but finally wrestled into submission. Is now resting while it awaits editing - might try and do that today, in between all the party-planning.
Word Count - 1180 . FINAL word count - 4180, and every one of them a real pain in the bum :)
Art of Forgetting - Chapter two is progessing nicely, with a lot of teenage boys behaving like teenage boys are prone to. Introduced a major character (Astan), and some who may go on to be major. Sent Oobie chapter one, apparently my words are pleasing to her! The boy is doing ok now, but I anticipate a serious punch in the guts in the very near future.
Word count : 14,250.
That's an additional 3750, partly due to my determination to send Heb a good chunk for her birthday.
That's a grand total of 4950 for the week. Win! Now watch it all go down the pan next week ;)
Website - yeah, still needs to be done. I know :)
But now I have to bake and tidy, and push AoF firmly to the back of my mind until I get a spare half-hour. Wish me luck!
