4th DON in Nürnberg

Dec 11, 2007 10:12

Yay. Last saturday I was in Nürnberg for the cosplay convention called 'DON' (it stands for Dragonball, One Piece and Naruto). I waited quite a while for this con to take place, because I really missed it to be able to talk to people who have the same interests as I do.
We (my ex-girlfriend, a friend of hers and me) went there by train in the early afternoon. We arrived in time, but then.... shock! The info point at the station (which was supposed to be the place where we all meet) was totally abandoned! WTF?
Yeah, well, because it was already 10 minutes after 2 pm we thought the convention people maybe already went to a manga store called 'Ultra Comix' near the station. It was what the usually do first on these conventions. But when we arrived nobody was there.... So we called the orga of this meeting and he fucking told us that they were still at the station waiting for more people to come, but they couldn't stay at the info point because some policmen wanted them to go away.... That was quite annyoing, because now we missed the welcoming part, where everyone meets again after a larger amount of time and all the cool stuff. But we had to recognize that we didn't only miss the welcoming part. We hardly met anyone of the other convention people. They all spread over town after meeting at the station and I didn't even see the most people I wanted to meet. Was quite a pitty.
Well, but at least the people I was hanging around with in the end where pretty nice. We had some Sushi (which was very good) and bought some stuff (I bought the new Cure magazine, some Hello Kitty stuff for the mobile phone and a Death Note Manga). And I had my own fanclub, haha! ^_^ Funny somehow. They all stood around me, took photos and wanted me to draw something into their ConHons (special kind of book. Give it to your convention friends and make them draw something into it.). Moreover they said that I look like a cool J-Rocker <3 What a compliment! Uh, yeah, and they told me that I have exactly the same voice as the vocalist of Cinema Bizarre.... urgh. Many thanks.

Yeah, well, that was all I have to tell about this day. On the way home we met some guy (20 years old) who was able to speak Japanese and Chinese like his mother tongue, but he himself wasn't Asian at all. He was just some guy with Asian friends and 2 years (only two fucking years!)
of lessons in these languages. I was impressed as hell, I have to admit!

Bye for now....
