[Naomi's studying that smug smile, Dastan.

Thankfully, they've already made up or this would only be more awkward.]

Enjoy yourself?

[Jealous he's not dreaming of you, Naomi?

Indeed it's a good thing they have made up. Because the dream has put the Prince into a relatively good mood. He rolls back to pick up his Dreamberry and raises an eyebrow playfully at the doctor]

Well, there's nothing like the real thing, to be honest, but I do prefer this kind of dreams to the ones I had before.

[As if she'd ever let him onto that.

Dastan's playful mood only coaxes a teasing smile out of the beautiful woman. It isn't difficult to see that she's extremely pleased to see that things appear to be back to normal between them, that incident hopefully forgotten. Try as hard as she might to keep her distance from most of the population, Dastan has somehow managed to worm his way in close to her.]

Yes, it's nice to see you finally wake up in a pleasant mood for once. I was becoming concerned.

[Be a nice girl, Naomi, and you might get one dream just of you.

There is no doubt that Dastan will never forget that incident between them, but if the woman is willing to put it behind them, he's more than ready to move forward and not mention it again.

Dastan smiles back at her]

I am usually in a pleasant mood most mornings. You are just not around to know about it...

[Words of apology nearly crosses his lips despite his teasing: he never meant to worry her with his dreams]

[She can only cross her fingers and hope.

Hurtful or not, Naomi's an adult enough to throw a small trouble like that into the past. As long as the slip-up doesn't become a regular occurrence, the doctor has no intention of ever bringing it up again in conversation.

You get a quick and flirty wink, Prince.]

Maybe I'll be lucky enough to see that happier side to you someday. [The woman is joking, of course. Or is she?]

I suppose I know more about your brothers now than I ever really wanted to.

[It won't certainly happen again. The Prince is working on his own with his own grievance for the Princess.

Her wink and comment makes him chuckle]

Well, my door is always open for you to come and surprise me on mornings, Naomi. [He's jesting as well, though he would never turn her away if she really does.]

[He laughs wholeheartedly]

I am sorry to say that this may only be a small part of what my brothers have done in their life.

[Though still smiling, Naomi gives the man a certain unreadable look.]

And you too, correct?

[Even with seeing memories of his past and the conversations they've shared together, how much does Naomi really know about Dastan's history? Then again, if it is anything like her own, perhaps she doesn't want to know.]

[Even without knowing his full past, anyone that knows him well can guess it. It's filled with both good and bad memories, but the Prince would only share the good ones to anyone asking. No one needs to know about his struggle in the streets of Nasaf before he was adopted by the King, or how he had to make his own place within the nobles, or how many people he's killed for the Empire.

Though he smiles as well, his eyes turn a bit more serious]

Yes, I suppose I have done more in my life than tease my brothers and leave a banquet with two slave girls...

[She matches his seriousness with a roll of her dark eyes.] I certainly hope so. What a terrible life that would be.

I can't think of any fun to be had with two slave girls.

[He chuckles]

Indeed. It would have been a terribly spoiled life.

[He raises an eyebrow, eyes twinkling with amusement]

Than clearly I have many things to show you.

[Not that he really think Naomi needs any indications in that department.]

[Naomi isn't going to act nearly as coyly as she had before during their time at the tavern. She meets his gaze steadily, her expression full of unspoken possibilities.]

I wouldn't mind learning a new skill or two.

[Well...that was unexpected for the Prince. He'll need a cold shower after this, thank you Naomi. He smiles a bit smugly, even though surprise is reflected in his blue eyes.]

I certainly would not mind teaching you some.

[Yep, the Prince may not be sputtering at her adorably like usual, but she knows she's gotten to him just as effectively.

She chuckles lightly, very amused.] Sounds good.

[He's slowly getting better at reigning himself in. You'll need some physical interactions to have him sputter again.

He smiles, equally amused]

Let me know whenever you want your...lessons...

I'll give you a surprise visit.

[Yes, that view is intentional.]

[We've missed that view]

.....As I said before, my door is always open to you, Naomi.
