well that was fun.....
Well well, long time no update. Not really.
I worked yesterday. It would have been fine, since Mary was working and I was scheduled in kids, and figure 'hmm, I won't really have to deal with people'
WRONG
I get there, and Staci (manager) says "Oh, Lynn, by the way, we need you on Register 2 from 3:30-6:00. Ok?" 'yeah, ok' I'm thinking 'whatever'. So I get over there, only to realize about a half an hour into it that people on registers have to count their own drawers
AGH!!!
So, at 6:00 none other than the wonderful amazing Matt comes and gets my drawer and leads me to the cash room
I hate the cash room now. Despise it, actually. I used to like it. Oh yeah. It was a good room. It was my best friend's 'office'. We used to play with Joe's mind from that office. Now? It houses the devil of Barnes and Noble. So, we go in there, and I start adding up the checks. Lets remember that this is only my third time counting my own drawer. So I screw up a couple times using the scale thing. So I try to make a few jokes about it, because the air in there is heavy. Super dense. Do my jokes get any response? No, of course not. Complete cold shoulder.
Ok, Matt, whatever, but let's remember......you're the one who kissed me. What was I supposed to think, hmm?
So then I go on my break and call Tony. We talk for a little bit, and then his cell phone reception goes down to zip, and we get cut off. And then I head out to the floor, only to realize that I missed a music break I was supposed to cover for David. Whoops. So I head back there, and then finally get to leave. Hurray. Becky came, and we went to Annah's house. Which was a much better end to my day than going home right after work would have been.
I get home, call Tony. He's just getting in to Chicago, and will be home later than expected. By quite a few hours
