There is something both stressful and yet so satisfying about being a teacher, stand-in, assistant or otherwise. I'm glad that the kids are getting used to you!
Well...they're working on it. *sigh* It's a struggle every day to instruct them, get them to stay on task and do their work...so we've started this little game and whichever table wins, gets a treat at the end of the week. And I was given permission to write referrals. So...some kids have already cried over being punished...I'm not sure how long I'll be teaching at this school but I certainly appreciated the steady income for this month. ^^; I just don't get paid for the winter break like the other teachers do. OTL
Well that was today. And so far I have heard nothing from the parents. But these kids deserved their referrals. I'll find out tomorrow. Or Monday. *sigh* Parents can cause me undo stress. They get mad when their kids volunteer, they get mad when we give them treats, mad when we don't, mad when we tell them they're failing, mad when the good kids get punished because the whole class was crazy...never can please the parents, who need to do better parenting imho.
I have a plan for working during the winter holiday...no idea for the summer...
Personally, I think parents are some of the worst cock blockers of the progression of education. They either get upset at every little thing or they just don't care at all. -_-

Mnnfff, I've heard about that. A lot of teachers actually moonlight during the summer/winter break to make ends meet.
