You can ignore the drawings and fan voice acting, I'm really only embedding this so you can see the various reactions from around Canada - and New York City - when their team won the gold medal in men's ice hockey at the 2010 Olympics.
It. is. epic. and. priceless. Also, one crowd did an awesome rendition of "Oh Canada." I would LOVE to be there, or in the US when we do something equally awesome, and be in that crowd cheering and being ecstatic. All the jumping, screaming, cheering, hugging, dancing, singing. And most of all, the patriotism. I love patriotism.
I wonder if we gather in public places like that in the US...I guess we do at sports bars? Do we even really have town squares with large display screens on which we can watch sports or elections or other things people cheer about? I know we have Times Square in New York City which is always crowded on New Year's Eve, but what about other places? We've got 50 states, we have to have at least gathering areas in each state! =/
