Picture Post: Matsue September 2009

The lake at sunset.

A hide guitar in the local book store!

This is the furisode set I am still paying for.

The lake at mid-day.

Some buddha statues.

A sculpture outside the art museum that depicts the movements of a rabbit running. I guess rabbits are considered lucky, so you can find small offerings on all the sculptures. Coins, pretty sea shells. It's crazy! I found it interesting how art became slightly religious just because it was put outside.

The English Board I made for September. Yes, I am good with crafts.

I made this for the library. Basically, I chose 4 books they had in English to recommend to the kids, and made "pictures" depicting a scene from each book. Jack climbing the Bean Stalk, Peter Pan fighting Captain Hook, Alice falling down the Rabbit Hole, and The Frog Prince trying to win the love of the Princess.

I could probably be an illustrator. If only. *sigh* I'd probably love it.
