I am pretty happy

Minus my glasses constantly slipping down my nose. 8[

Cool parts of the week so far:

Monday
-People are buying my extra Hetalia cards and this makes me happy because it means I can sell them to people who want them and not just throw them away/hope some recycle shop wants it. (Which they didn't on the weekend. bastards.)

-Abe asked me to introduce my family. Unfortunately, she asked me to do it midclass so my awesome FLASHCARDS were not on hand, so I had to draw them on the board. 8| But I did get to act out what the CIA is, which, according to me when half awake with no prep time, is a cliche of Hollywood references. So I did my best "make a gun with your hands" pose, crawled between the rows of desks while singing "Mission Impossible" before jumping up and screaming "RUSSIAN! BANG BANG! TERRORIST BANG BANG! SADDAM HUSSEIN! BANG BANG!" After the kids were done being terrified/amused (there was a shit ton of laughing) I proclaimed "SPIES. THE CIA IS SPIES."

-As a result of my dramatic portrayal of protecting American interests from abroad, half the kids think I own a gun and have shot someone, and Abe thinks I own a licence for one as well. I AM NOT DOING WELL TO MAKE AMERICA LOOK LIKE A SAFE COUNTRY AM I? They also don't quite grasp what the CIA is - apparently a bunch of murdering spies - but it's so much more than that, and to be honest, I really like that company. *BIASED.*

-Lunch was fucking delicious oh god STROGANOFF. (However that is spelled. I just think of Russia.)

Tuesday
-The entire school occupied the prefectural concert hall for the annual school chorus concert. Each class of each grade has one song and they all compete against each other for a big trophy. Matsui's class swept the awards - I swear they got like 4 prizes or more - but they were very good. It was fun though I had to try not to fall asleep and so did the kids around me. It was so hot in there...

-The music club performed "Sing Sing Sing" and it rocked the house. I mean we had one boy try to get everyone to dance, but we all settled for enthused clapping along, and then screaming for an encore. Sadly, there was no time. But it was kick ass.

-When kids did notice me I was greeted with "Hello!" "Jessica sensei!" "Jessica!" "Mister Jessica!" (This is their favorite joke because I make an angry face and then hit them. They like this. And yes, it's only boys.) and "CIA! TERRORIST BANG BANG!" One boy did ask me to marry him in Japanese, then in English, and there was a lot of "I LOVE YOU JESSICA!" He's never said that before so I think he just felt like being silly.

-Though I was tired and too hot, it was a lot of fun.

-The raging headache was not fun.

Today
-Sadly, I did not act out being a CIA agent today but the kids are still going "CIA! TERRORIST BANG BANG!" at me. I think it will be like this for a while. I plan to really ham it up tomorrow if possible.

-I hung out with the librarian and the office lady after everyone left for a meeting. We just talked and apparently I have really nice skin. They also took my picture - I am not sure why. Because I am cute I think was what they said.

By the way, I have noticed a lot of tourists taking pictures of me when I am walking to and from work. I walk around the lake the town is famous for so I always think "Oh they want a shot of the lake." But then they just kind of point the camera at me and click a lot. B| I know white people aren't that rare in Japan! And it's all guys too...but women tend to have the courtesy to ask for your picture. But that's assuming they're Japanese. Other Asian tourists just take your photo and run. =/

-I went to the local anime store to buy another box of Hetalia cards - people are interested so I thought why not, it's cheaper to buy from me than from ebay! I also got a magazine for someone, and something else that is a surprise. Considering how I had tried to talk to the staff on the phone and garbled it I was glad that they remembered me and didn't seem put off. I got free Halloween candy too! So I felt happy after that because I like shopping and being treated like a valued costumer.

-Then I got home and there was a package from GLay waiting for me except I don't know a GLay who lives in America and then I realized it was from Cat which means my epic birthday present came!

IT IS SO EPIC. OH MY GOD.
FOR ONE, THERE ARE FOUR US NEWSPAPERS IN IT. I WAS LIKE OMG NEWSPAPERS IN ENGLISH...FROM DELAWARE. WHO THE HELL IS THIS? MUST READ LATER.
I GOT A MAGNET FROM CANADA OF A POLAR BEAR CHASING A TOURIST.
I GOT A HALLOWEEN CHARM BRACELET.
I GOT A PIN OF THE CANADIAN AND AMERICAN FLAGS CROSSED TOGETHER. (If they make pins of this, it must be true.)
I GOT A COOL HALLOWEEN POP UP CARD.
ANOTHER COOL HALLOWEEN CARD WITH STICKERS.
A THANKSGIVING CARD ALSO WITH STICKERS AND AN OWL BOOKMARK.
A BIRTHDAY CARD THAT SINGS AWESOME 80'S POWER BALLADS AT ME.
THREE SCARVES - A RED ONE WITH BLACK HEARTS, A GREY ONE WITH SKULLS AND SHINY THREADS, AND ONE THAT IS JUST THE AMERICAN FLAG OVER AND OVER. (I put this one on right away as it was on top.)

BUT BEST OF ALL

IS MY VERY OWN AMERICA JACKET. WHICH SHE AND HER MOM MADE. AND IS AWESOME. AND I WORE IT UNTIL I GOT TOO HOT.

I WAS LIKE SQUEEING AND RUNNING IN CIRCLES AND GIGGLING AND JUST YEAH. OH GOD.

I FEEL BADASS WHEN I WEAR IT. I KIND OF WANT TO WEAR IT TO WORK BUT ONLY IF THE KIDS WON'T TEASE ME. (America wouldn't take that, he'd just occupy the school! Unfortunately, I don't have a military at my disposal. D=)

I meant to be asleep an hour ago but I had to get this all down before I forget. I seem to be able to function on no sleep anyway.

And episode 40 of Hetalia was so terribly cute. I...I almost became a fan of UK/USA. Almost.
Can I have my own little America? He can carry me to work since he can toss Buffalo around like they're frisbees. And we will eat sweets together and gaaaaaah so fucking cute.

I would also like my own Chibitalia and Holy Roman Empire. 8| For more cute times. Oh god. So canon.

america, canada, hetalia, germany, birthday, good day, work, friends, cat, italy, japan, matsue
