The People on the Bus Go Up and Down

Nov 06, 2008 19:36

I had third graders going WISH! Daigo style at me today. Their teacher was NOT impressed.

The second graders love "The Bus Song." I had to sing it four times today. I sang a lot today. They like those gesture songs.

I ate with second grade; they're cute little kids. We also played together during recess - I think the girls used me as a giant living heater. I have been told I am warm. I had a girl on each arm, and then one wrapped around my middle. They are too precious.

I now understand why Toshi signs thing with a scribble. I had kids getting six signatures EACH from me today. My hand was going to fall off. I think I need to make copies of my signature and just...hand it out or something.

All the kids wanted to know if I had recovered from my cold, which I am pretty sure I have, and they are all surprised by my hair cut. I hope it is a good surprise.

The principal gave me a snack today. I think that man is bored, but he seems sweet enough.
Both him and the VP asked after the election, and they both seemed glad that Obama won. I'm only mentioning this because Japanese people don't really care about politics, yet they were all very interested in this election. But that's it on my end. I'm done with it. Now I just want to see what happens.

Maa-kun is like...made of awesome. He self-taught himself all his English as far as I know yet he says I taught him. He also like...knew I got my hair cut and told his helper, who said he must be an expert on me. I think we just get along even though we only interact when we run into each other. My special ed kids have a special place in my heart. <3

I rode my bike some more today! I can get up slight inclines! Takes effort but I did it! Twice! Yeah, I am out of shape. -_-; But speeding down hills = fun as heck.

ALSO NEW IPOD NANO MINI GEEEEEEET. It is soooo small. But pretty and blue. And the old piece of crap iPod is gone. I am freee to indulge in mini blue awesomeness. <3<3

I also bought a lot of tea. What the hell Jess? I might have to have tea parties with my fish.

I am going to watch Aladdin now. <3

Somehow, Dai-san makes me feel better a bit. Or the fact I got a new toy. But I am hoping it means I continue to feel good. I'm just sad that I barely spend two weeks at Dai-San. But they've got less kids so I have to go to Dai-Yon more often. But if I get good enough with my bike, I might bike there every morning...we'll see. Baby steps as they say.

RACHEL: YOU WANNA DO ANYTHING THIS WEEKEND? Let me know if you dooo. <3

good day, kumano, work, shopping, rachel, toshi, japan
