A couple of things to adress for this week...
First of all, it has been a pretty laid back vacation. I only had to work on psych for a few days, and that was pretty much painless. that is until we got to those kids that lived on brian's street, who were so filled with idiocy, that i think they were the last living neanderthalls on the planet. i went to cape cod with aaron in the beginning week and we learned a couple of things about the cape...
1. Cape cod closes at 9. thats right, cape cod as a whole shuts down promptly at 9. nothing is open, including the malls
2. Cape Cod does not label its streets well. Aaron and i ended up driving 100 yards down the wrong side of the street only to be confronted by an army of vehicles coming straight tward us.
We had a good time and there i bought Doom 3 for x-box.
Heres a little history about Doom and i.
I was introduced to doom before the general public had it, you know when the executives and the press are the only ones who get it (this is also before people could get leaks of it). Well my best friend sean davis used to live up the street from me. His mom was one of the head honchos for microsoft, like up there shaking hands with bill gates on a weekly basis (Sean told me he once went to a party where gates was there and asked him for 20 bucks). i went to his house one day and he told me his mom brought back a game that hadent been released yet called "Doom". Sean and i started it up and before you knew it we were playing well into the night, 6 or so hours flew by. I would go to his house and we would just play doom. we found all these wonderfull things to do. we played some of the first ever multiplayer by LAN because he had 3 computers in one room. we used cheats on it like god mode and bezerker and played it inside out. We got all the sequals doom 2 and final doom and played them inside out. Sean introduced me to doom and i loved it. so when they announced they would be making doom 3 for the computer i was STOKED. when it came out i stole the copy brian had and installed it on my computer. alas, its so friggen high powered that my computer just went "you're kidding right" and died. but my savoir came when they released the version you could play on x-box. So i set it up and i waited till 1 in the morning the day i got back to play it. with all the lights out and the sound up loud i started to play it.
So far im like halfway in the game i think. but im at the point where i met this guy...
Oh, Whoops thats what he used to look like...
He looks like this now...
Ladies and Gentlemen, that is a Hell Knight, and that is the most boss creature on the planet. I met up with him, and honestly died like three times because i just let him kick my ass. first of all, the guy is fuckin huge. According to the players guide, he stands at 8 feet, so he towers. he will do one of two attacks. he will either throw a huge ball of fire, or if your lucky enough, he will bitch slap the shit out of you. After getting my ass kicked by this guy about 40 times, i realized something. I have to be as bad as i possibly can be, so when i die someday i will be a hell knight. yeah...that would be so fuckin sweet. being a hell knight would kick so much ass. except, this time, i wouldent let some wussie human kill me with a shotgun. no, i would change things around, so i kick more ass. i would make hell more scary. its one thing to like, set random things on fire, but i think we need more pentagrams. oh, and satan definately needs a new voice. the dracula sounding one in Doom 3 aint cutting it. it catches you sometimes, but you often laugh when its done.
So that was my doom experience, and my love for the hellknight.
The week also held good for some music i got. First of all i got the new circa survive debut, or as i like to call them, anthony green and the circa survivors. the cd is AWESOME. i love anthony..more on him later...
I also aquired the greatest recording i probobly have ever heard. i was sitting talking to kyle online and he told me he gave in and got the leak of The Receiving End Of Sirens new cd, between the heart and the synapse. well after talking to him for a bit, i gave in. i had to leave however and do some errands, so i burned it onto a cd. to tell you how good it was, i had to stop on the road in the middle of the cd cause i was shaking from the chills going up and down my spine. this cd is incredible. Its so damn...everything. it was everything i hoped for and more. epilouge is probobly the best ending of a cd i have ever heard. and anthony green is on it too!!!!
So to cap off the cd, kyle, aaron and i went to the treos cd release party. it started with this band "driving in silence", they were cute, but i didnt care at the moment. Then came as tall as lions.
As Tall As Lions may quite possibly be the sexiest band i have ever seen live. like these guys are THE SEX. the bass player in particular was the man. he was up there, practically grinding with his bass. he was so into it, which made everything else that much better. their show was so full of energy and awesome. i cant wait to see them again.
then Anthony green and the circa survivors came on. a little thing about anthony, he has the hot shit syndrome working its way into him. he knows he is awesome, so he waits until his band pretty much goes into their first song to come out. but oh man, when he comes out he goes right into it. he kinda rests in the crowd, laying his body ontop of them like a parapeligic. and he will grab some random persons hand, like mine, and hold it while singing. he would also sway on the stage, being super sexy in all. it was obvious he wanted this one girl in the audience cause he would hold her head and sway, like he was getting a blowjob or something.
then the moment came when TREOS came out. oh wow, do they ever have crowd presence. as soon as they came out they kicked into "planning a prison break" and i gave brandon a high five, cause he is the fuckin man. they went through their set seamlessly changing from one song to the next. the big ones of the night were Dead men tell no tales, obviously cause its one of the biggest crowd favorites. flee the factory was cool because anthony came and sang his part on the album. it was funny, cause kyle was moshing with him only moments before. the coolest thing of the night was finishing with epilouge, which i never would have thought they would have done. the song sounds like it can only be done in the studio, but i underestimate treos and their sexocity. i also underestimated how high mollie can fly when catapulted onto the stage from the middle of the crowd.
after the show i went and talked to everyone in the bands. first was the guys from as tall as lions, they were super cool. then i spoke with casey a bit from treos, he is super polite and thankful. then i saw anthony go and sit in a chair near his merch booth.
i decided i wanted a picture with him. so i had aaron hold the camera and i sat in anthony's lap. i kinda held onto him and he goes "ohh we're freindly". i started to mess with him, and we practically spooned. it got to the point where i was holding his head and he licked my neck...AWESOME. needless to say, if i saw him again sometime, he would remember me.
all in all an incredible show, and an good week. AND IT WAS KELSEYS BIRTHDAY AND SHE ALMOST BEAT ME AT MINI GOLF!!!
