bleh
01. We're here! I officially live in Indiana now. The trip, although almost eight hours, was not that bad. Me and my mom watched Pushing Daises, I reread White Oleander for the billionth time, and slept a little bit. I uploaded all my music onto my new iPod (it's so shiny!) and that was about it. It didn't seem to take forever like it usually does.
02. We're still staying with my uncle for right now. It's a very cramped and confined living arrangement, I'm sharing a very small room with my mother, Toe's sleeping on the couch, but more or less okay. I'll be happy when I don't have to wear earphones 24/7 to do anything though. As far as the house goes, it looks like we're going to be able to move in next weekend, which is great. I got to see the house Sunday night after we got here and it's old, but nice, I like it. It's also in 'downtown' so I can walk to the few things that are in town, which is cool.
03. My mom won't let me stay in my uncle's bad neighborhood by myself during the day so I've been spending them with my grandmother. Me, Mom, and Toe leave the house by 5:30 every morning, they drop me off at my Grandma's, Toe drops her off at her office, and then he goes to work. I basically spend the day watching Buffy (I'm marathoning all seven seasons in order), working on my Spider-man quilt, and running errands with her. It's not bad though, if you overlook the morning jogs that is. Between runs with her in the morning and power-walks with mom at night, I've done like 6 miles in the past three days alone. I am so pooped.
04. Since my grandmother doesn't have internet, I haven't been able to get online much. I'm trying to keep caught up on my flist in the 2-3 hours I have at home every night but most of that time is taken up with showering, eating, and getting ready for the next day so I'm sorry I'm being a sucky friend at the moment with the lack of commenting. It should get better after I move next week.
05. The new Gossip Girl promos are pretty and gorgeous and any other adjective meaning things of the similar. Now if only the pilot would leak. *sigh*
06. I really wish the Moonlight pilot would leak too, even though I'm not sure how I feel about this rumor. However, this is great and is really making me even more excited about the show. In my mind, the vampire rules set by the Buffy-verse are kind of like unbreakable law so it usually peeves me when others shows change them (dead man's blood, WTF SPN) but I really like the way they're doing it.
07. Speaking of pilots, I've been watching even more. As I mentioned last entry, I already watched Pushing Daises (amazing) and Reaper (the verdict's still out). This week I've watched two more. Chuck was really good, I'm definitely watching this fall and really looking forward to it. However, the one I'm (embarrassingly enough) most anxious for? Lipstick Jungle. *hides behind hands* I didn't even want to watch it, I could have cared less, but mom asked me to download it and watch it with her so I did, fully preparing myself to despise it, but I didn't. Brooke Shields was actually enjoyable and there wasn't one character I didn't like. I especially loved the fashion designer and the relationship between her and her new boyfriend (even with his aversion to walking, $20,000 minutes, and huge ass bed). It was really entertaining and cute.
08. Sam Huntington is in ABC's Cavemen. *head to desk* Oh Sam, why? Just... why? I love you to pieces but please don't make me watch that crap. Speaking of stuff I have to watch, Charisma Carpenter just joined up for the finale (and possible season two) of Greek so I guess I have to watch that now too. Geesh.
09. The Heroes cast officially wins for the being the cutest thing ever.
