Happy 2009!

Welcome to the new year, that's actually the same as every other year before it. As you can tell I'm not much of a believer that with the new year comes big changes. Nope, to me it's just a number change that I tend to forget when writing checks.

Heh, moving on...

Did you know that Harry is Draco's 3rd or 4th cousin? Siriusly, look it up here!

Charlus Potter had one son between the years 1935-1977, assuming he didn't impregnate a 15 year old. This means that it's highly possible that the son they had was James. Though Sirius describes James' parents as being elderly, or moreso than most wizarding parents, it might still be this couple. The woman would have been about 30-40 years and it seems that wizards try for their first born before they are 30. James could have also been raised by his grandparents and not have known. Either way they could have died during the first rise of Voldemort.

You should really look at the Black Family Tree and see what else there is to find out about the wizarding world that is in that. If my theory is correct Harry would be related (by blood or marriage) to:
- Flint (Marcus),
- Hitchens,
- Blustrode (Millicent),
- Yaxley (isn't this a Death Eater?),
- McMillan (Ernie),
- Crabbe (Vincent),
- Weasley (All of them),
- Longbottom (Neville),
- Crouch (Barty),
- Prewett (O_O Twice over related to the Weasleys through Molly this time),
- Rosier (another DE?),
- LeStrange (Holy crap!),
- Tonks (Nyphadora),
- Malfoy (and tada~ Draco!)

Obviously the Potters back then were dark or rather respected because the lady that married Charlus wasn't blasted off the wall for marrying a goody-goody. Someone guessed that James' father was a blood traitor to the Potter name (meaning he was dark and the family was light) and thus the child was taken in by the grandparents. I wonder if we'll ever know. Very, very interesting.

Yeah, everyone's kinda related to everyone else in some way in the WW. It's a very interesting family tree to study.
