HIMYM.

I don't know what to think. I thought Robin/Barney was going to be the end game. But that break up felt kinda permanent. I don't get it. Why spend so much time on them as a potential item just to break them up? Although I haven't exactly enjoyed Robin/Barney this season like I thought I would. I can't say I won't enjoy a return to single!Robin and single!Barney, but... end game! Can't they just be in an open relationship or something? Stupid tv and its need for conventional relationships.

The craziness of Lily's scheme was pretty awesome. Alan Thicke, Crazy Meg, not-a-stormtrooper!robot, and a stakeout in a ... station wagon?

Heroes.

How did I get back into this time suck of a show?

- Quick rundown.
Characters I don't give a damn about: All the circus folk, Matt, Hiro
Characters I actually like: Sylar, Claire, Peter, Emma, Tracy, H.R.G

- Matt's really delved into murky waters after last season and that certainly has made for an interesting storyline, but god, I haven't been able to stand him this season. The powers as an addiction metaphor certainly didn't help. I didn't like it on Buffy and I don't like it now.

I find myself rooting for Sylar if only because Matt can be such a moron. Hello, rule #1: Never taunt a psychopath! He will fuck your shit up. Haha, the world is his hostage. Nice. But, dammit, I underestimated Matt. He can't stop Sylar, but a ton of cops sure can do the trick. Nothing like self-sacrifice. Of course whenever the show takes a step in the right direction they have to go on and make a U-turn.

- Damn right, Adrian Pasdar is back! Better recognize, NBC.

- Is Gretchen gone for good? I didn't mind her even though I'm really tired of this faux flirting with lesbianism thing that prime time tv always does. Commit! Nice little turn away from convention that Gretchen was actually bi and was *ahem* experienced. Oh, virginal Claire.

- Peter. Not much to say. He's a lot less annoying/emo/whiny this season. I think a lot of that has to do with the hair, though. And I do like his interactions with Emma in a non-necessarily romantic kinda way.

Gossip Girl.

I can see how some people think Serena is a BAMF, but I hate her. I can't deal with the fact that things just jump into her lap, that she always thinks she's the mature one (although being friends with Blair I can kinda understand that), and maybe most of all that she's popular with people for absolutely no reason. She has done nothing to earn anyone's attention. As Trip said, "for some reason" it just happens.

Haha, Serena runs 'emotional Ponzi schemes.' Yes! Okay, I won't say that Serena has never been there for her friends, but it kinda feels like the only problems that Serena thinks are truly problems are ones that are happening to her, you know?

But I have to say I actually like Serena when she's in BFF mode with Blair. They're just so wonderfully gay together.

Blair: Serena will never like you the way you like her.

Blair: Going down.
Serena: Not without me.

Chuck: If you two want to kiss it won't count as cheating.

See?

I love the opportunity for Chuck and Nate to actually get a scene together. This needs to happen more often! Esp. when it has to do with the girls. I'd totally want a foursome if it wasn't for the fact that Serena/Chuck feels horribly horribly wrong.

Why does Vanessa always get unfortunate hair? Can we stop with the lame storylines and let her having an affair with Rufus already? Just a little wishful thinking.

Nate! You kinda have a storyline! You're not just a slut who has the attention span of a goldfish anymore. Ohmigod, I'm so happy for you. Of course, now you're a douche. Still... progress?

I really appreciate the ability Blair had to make me kinda care about her stupid high school power struggles. Jenny, however, makes me wish someone would pull a Carrie on her. She's being an uber bitch to everyone, esp. her best friend/step-brother and for what? Because she's embarassed she used to live in Brookyln? Because she thinks her highschool *needs* her as ruler? Wow. Though, I have to give props to Jenny for totally turning around the situation.

Oh whatever to casting aspersions on Eric for sinking down to Jenny's level. I still love him and I hope he trips up Jenny good.

How did I know the threesome would turn out to be lame and be Dan/Olivia/Vanessa? Ugh. That's the best we get? Three kisses and sleeping in bed scene? Although I am so awaiting the awkwardness when it turns out Olivia isn't running off to her movie like planned. Haha. Having threesome sex with your current and ex girlfriend. There won't be any issues there!

Oh, Serena. You big idiot. Don't you know the phrase "we're both adults..." always precedes sex? It's like she looks for ways to crash and burn.

Castle.

I was not hot on this show last season, but it's grown on me since. I think I just needed to come to terms with what this show was and what it wasn't (kinda like I had to with Medium). I wanted something a little more deep and with range for Nathan Fillion, but oh well. He gets to be charming and I get to watch him be charming once a week. Can't complain too much esp. if I get flashes of Mal like with Castle in his "cowboy astronaut" outfit for Halloween or getting punched in the face ;)

I'm also enjoying Beckett/Castle, esp since she's such a fangirl for his writing and he knows it but she'll be damned if she lets it show.
