The Amazing Race.
Agh! Great episode!
I would seriously be afraid for my safety if I was Chip. ::snap:: That there was Colin's lingering sanity snapping apart. The way he was just watching the other teams decorate the cars ::shiver:: Three words. Texas. Chainsaw. Massacre.
It was a great entertainment to see Colin and Christie have a meltdown, though. The Yield certainly lost them some time, but what really got to them was the loss of their lead. They just weren't thinking or acting rationally with the roadblock. Roadblock! Yes, Christie you *can* help him out. And then lost it when they were in the cab. Run them over? WTF? And this whole unfair yielding crap? Whatever. It's in the game. Makes it fair.
And then it came down to whether or not Colin n Christie made last place. On the one hand I didn't want them to be because having them around makes things much more interesting and they are good racers. On the other hand, I hate Colin! I was so worried when it occured to them to get a cab for the rest of the ride but then it occured to all the other teams. Hee! I really didn't expect a non-elimnation leg. Poor Chip! Start running! Because apparently "it's on!"
And my affection for Nicky n Brandon just grows. The way they generally handle themselves and each other is such a nice contrast over and over again to Colin n Christie.
The moms haven't been on my good side in awhile. Karen annoys me more because she gets so annoyed at Linda. Like she's a party! Amusing that they finished the cabs first and thought it was because of all the putting stuff together as moms. And I like how they push themselves further than they think they are capable of going. But stop getting lost! I was happy that they got 2nd place again but I really don't want them to win. Not good racers at all.
Chip n Kim. Fear for your life. Though, you totally did the right thing. And all the other teams would have yielded them anyway. I wish Colin n Christie knew that. It wasn't a betrayal. Chip did the right thing. He learned his lesson with the twins and he couldn't trust the fact that the teams wouldn't chicken out and not use the yield. And yay, first! And Hawaii!

Tru Calling.
Spreading the news. From
spoilerfix: "FOX has decided to give Tru Calling's timeslot to North Shore starting on November 4. No announcements on when Tru Calling would be back have been made. According to Variety, Tru Calling has also had its episode order chopped from 13 down to 6."
I need my Eliza fix, dammit!

Smallville.
Everyone's probably already seen this but how can I not mention it on my own lj?
yavannauk has posted the
interview with Michael Rosenbaum from TV Zone's Special #59 issue.
My favorite snippet?
"His eyes dance when the prospect of a pairing between Lex and Lana Lang is broached. Sure, Jensen Ackles has been signed to play Lana's new love interest, but the spark between Lex and Lana at the tail end of last season can't be denied - And Rosenbaum isn't trying. ("How could there not be a spark when you're hanging out with Lana?" he says. "I mean, she's just absolutely beautiful.")"
Enough said *g*
Speaking of L/L, I got to watch their scene in the finale on my sister's HDTV ::happy sigh:: And then my sister asked me who Lana was in love with. Clark or Lex? I answered her according to canon. I should have lied, shouldn't I? It is my opinion that you should brainwash family and friends to ship the way you do when they don't have enough information to make an informed decision themselves. Am I right or am I right? This unifies you, solidifying your relationship and opening the lines of communcation. Yes, it does indeeed ::nods head::

CSI.
Re-watched Crate 'n' Burial on Spike. Purely for G/S and Jolene reasons ;) Strange how Jolene's voice sounds different here. Less husky.
And I'm such a geek because I was thrilled when JB said "Grissom." Fandoms collide! I love it when it happens like this and not in the scary Joey Potter/Riley Finn 'First Daughter' kind of way.
And Jolene with her hair in a ponytail! And her face bruised! What is it about bruises on pretty faces? Does me in every time.

One Tree Hill and The Apprentice.
Damn, you watch almost two episodes and you get interested! ::shakes fist at One Tree Hill and The Apprentice 2::
Totally feeling Haley/Lucas. Lucas/Anyone really. Like Brooke and Haley. Not so much love for Peyton so far. The adults? Meh. Though everytime I see Lucas's mom I think "The Cutting Edge."

The Girl Next Door.
While I was at Blockbuster I passed by the newstand and noticed Jolene on Stuff's cover. I couldn't help myself and had to see the pics. I really should oogle girls in magazines while I'm in public more often.
Anyway, the movie was funny but it was also a bit too ... wacky, cheesy, cracked out, I guess, for me.
But getting to see CM (Adam in Joan of Arcadia) as Eli in scenes like this one?:
Matthew: Eli, I like this girl.
Eli: And you can still like her with your penis inside her. Matthew, I tell you that you're going to regret this. What would JFK do? You know he'd tap that ass.
Matthew: Eli, I'm never going to see her again.
Eli: Oh you know what? Fine!
Matthew: Fine!
Eli: Fine! Goddamnit Matt! I swear to God if you don't fuck her, I'll kill myself! Matt! Please! Please! Matt! Fuck her for me! For me!
Priceless.
Eli was so overcompensating because of his gayness ::luvs him:: Learn to like it!
And as for Matthew? I ended up loving him. What can I say? I love boyscouts. Benton Fraser, Sam Beckett, etc. But Matthew definitely needs to remain clothed.
Also, loved the girl that played Mule's girlfriend. Just her personality was adorable.
And Samnang! And that boy who wanted to bang him. Heh.
What I did really like was the reversal of the whore/virgin pairing. This time with boy as the inexperienced innocent. For the most part my ships tend to be young woman, older man. Sometimes just a few years difference (Lex/Lana) and sometimes centuries (Cordy/Angel). I mean mostly that's whats on screen, no? The only young man, older woman pairing I can think of offhand is something like Warrick/Catherine. So change of pace is nice. How that changes the dynamic, messes with society's expectations, etc.
