just a little note for myself. also i need to not die. and probably try to get in shape for the italy trip, which sounds like it will involve a lot of walking around and hiking and looking at cool crap all while trying to balance a little notepad and take notes. please take note of the fact that i am not the world's best note-taker when it comes to sitting in a room and taking notes, so the procedure while walking (and hopefully not in the rain) and trying not to die at the same time will probably lead to even more disastrous results. although maybe the walking bit will actually help me focus and keep me awake and suchlike. and maybe the fact that i'm in FUCKING ITALY will also alleviate some of the tediousness about taking notes. i seriously don't know how skodes does it, her notes are like a work of art. alba too. amazing work ethic that i just don't seem to be able to summon any more.
interesting future experiment: write all thoughts for paper out in a stream-of-consciousness rant like the past, oh, several hundred words and perhaps the process will go a lot faster and we can go back to things like pretending to read latin but really parsing all of it in a slow and painstaking manner.
i'm just a RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMBLIN man
