Cashiers check for a whole lot of money carries me all the way through the year on taxes/insurance, and until May's payment. Scarey but the next 3 paychecks should get me back in reasonable shape. Brian signed over his claims to the property today as well.

One step closer... hoping there are no steps back...

it wasn't that bad, about $5k, but it covers everything related to the transaction. however, this whole process just causes you to spend money like it's going out of style... which isn't my habit, so all at once I feel kinda poor. i must have sounded really pathetic on the phone with my dad this morning; he offered to spot me $500!

it was really thrilled to see how high my credit score was, the escrow officer was duely impressed as well.
