I hung out with Casey and Sarah Vacha last night. Nobody makes me laugh as hard as Casey. It almost felt like she never left. We spent three hours just talking and laughing and taking pictures and laughing and goofing around and laughing. I loved it.
And then the hotness episode....how potentially embarrassing. Who knows if she really heard anything or not. Well, on the bright side, if she did hear us...and told him...it would prove that I wasn't gay and in love with Casey. haha.
The Arizona mission trip is coming up soon. I'm a bit anxious. Justin and I don't have anything prepared for the kids yet and the missions retreat is this weekend. There's nothing like getting thrown into a leadership position for a trip last minute...and not being told what you are supposed to do there. It would be easier if we knew what all was going to happen. But we don't, and we won't until after we get there. I'm praying that God will direct me to the right songs and give me ideas that will rip at their hearts.
Everyone's kinda viewing this trip as the easy one....I, however, am more worried about it than any of my past six trips. For one thing, there's no language barrier. That alone throws you way out of your comfort zone. For another thing....we aren't working with little kids, we're working with high schoolers. For another thing...they are hard kids, most Rez kids are. And a lot of the kids going on this trip are really young, wall-flower kids. I can't use them in the dramas because they are too shy and giggle through the whole thing and freak out at being in front of people. We can't use them in Industrial Rhythm because they can't keep a beat. But I don't want to use the same kids for everything.
God...it's a good thing you are orchestrating this, because if it was left up to us, I'd fake a severe sickness and stay safely at home.
Elevate's tonight. I'm on the singing rotation this month. Actually, I've only been off one month...and I was really only off one night. The other three I ended up singing. I'm excited. I love it.
