NAME: Nunnally Lamperouge
CODENAME: Nemo
SERIES/SOURCE: Code Geass: Nightmare of Nunnally
AGE: 15
GENDER: Female
ROLE: Brotherhood

BACKGROUND: Nunnally Lamperouge is the daughter of Charles Lamperouge, the CEO of a major media corporation that has its roots dug into pretty much everything these days. Red Lamp Productions has a decidedly conservative bent, especially when it comes to social issues such as race relations, sexual orientation, and of course mutants. Unfortunately, as it turned out, Charles' wife Marianne had been hiding a secret for a very long time: She herself was actually a mutant. She was all set to reveal the truth, and had even staged a press conference. But before she could speak, bullets flew. Marianne was killed, and seven-year-old Nunnally was shot in the legs. The trauma of the event caused Nunnally to lose her sight.

Lelouch and Nunnally were sent to a prestigious boarding school after that, where they lived in relative peace and calm. Nunnally discovered her own mutation before Lelouch did, when a psychic vision overwhelmed her as she sat taking an exam. She passed out from the shock, and when she awoke she was reluctant to tell anyone what had happened. It was only once she and Lelouch had returned to their private dormitory in the student council clubhouse that she told him what she had seen -- a police chase, and the lead cruiser hitting a lamppost. It was just a small snippet, nothing more, but it was proof enough that she had inherited the X-Gene from Marianne. Lelouch and Nunnally both saw it best to keep this a secret, and they concocted a story that Nunnally was prone to seizures to explain what had happened, and to protect her should it happen in public again.

It wasn't long before Nunnally's vision came true. In the process, Lelouch wound up discovering his own power, though he didn't realize that it was such until he broached the subject with their father. Charles disowned the two siblings, and they in turn renounced the Lamperouge family. They no longer use their surname, and introduce themselves only as Lelouch and Nunnally.

After spending some time at Xavier's Institute, Nunnally was plagued by a crystal-clear vision of something horrible. Whatever it was made her decide that it was time to go. Bidding her farewells to Lelouch and Euphemia, she caught the next plane out. Where to? It didn't matter, as long as it wasn't the United States. Eventually, after staying in hiding for long enough, she realized the proper course of action: She had to stand up against something horrible that was going to happen, and she couldn't do it from school. Her visions led her to meet up with a representative of the Brotherhood of Mutants. She disagreed with many of their ideals and methods, but it was the only way she could accomplish what she needed to do.

And so, she went to work for the Brotherhood, biding her time until the point when her destiny would near completion.

PERSONALITY: Nunnally is above all else a sweet person who wants the best for everyone. Her deepest wish is for the world to be a kind and gentle place where everyone can live in peace and harmony. However, she's rational enough to recognize that the road to that kind and gentle world is a long and bumpy one, and it won't be easy.

Nunnally wants to lead. She wants to inspire others to do their best and live up to their full potential. But she also knows that people aren't likely to take their cues from a blind and crippled teenaged girl. That's why she hides her more opinionated viewpoints, projecting the image of a simple, gentle girl who doesn't much pay attention to politics.

APPEARANCE: If she were able to stand, Nunnally would be just shorter than five and a half feet. She has long brown hair reaching almost to her waist, and violet eyes that glow as a side effect of her mutation -- not that anyone will be able to see them. Even at first glance, her sibling resemblance to Lelouch is obvious.

POWERS: Nunnally's mutation is the power to see the future. It can be a bit disorienting to use, since her visions are sight-based, but over time she's adjusted to them, and she has a good idea of what many places around the world look like thanks to her visions. Her power is involuntary; visions descend upon her whether or not the moment is opportune, and she cannot control them. At first, sound did not accompany her visions, but now she's able to hear every sound that goes along with her visions. In addition, prolonged meditation will sometimes trigger a vision, but she can't control what it is she sees.

There's no limit on how soon or how far away an event is going to be when the vision comes true, but the further into the future the vision is, the blurrier it appears. Anything beyond a year or so away is usually too blurry to make out, but exceptions, for plot-related reasons, are possible.
