HUGE (and I'm not joking) photopost this time around. The occassion: I went to Buffalo with Dave and his dad, Jim. As we all know, Buffalo and the surrounding area is very old and has VERY LARGE cemeteries. I learned the very large cemeteries part today. Christina, I have a pic in here that you might like to see. I took it with you in mind.
PS: I've been informed that turning up the brightness on your monitor may help with seeing the last ten or so.
First, we have a tree. Not just any tree, a reaching tree. Reaching right for the Burge Mansion that you see on the righthand side.
These three were taken one right after the other in the Forest Lawn (or something) Cemetery in Buffalo-ish. I felt a WHOMP and gasped when we crossed the spectral threshold in the car. Dave asked if I was alright and Jim wanted to know what happened. I felt us cross into it, is all I said. Jim is a deeply religious man and I didn't know how he would react to me just saying 'We crossed the spiritual threshold of the graveyard'.
First thing in is a monument to Red Jacket, a...Mohawk? chief whose people were brutally murdered in a gigantic genocide in the late 1800s (I may have the time wrong).
Driving by the monument and its tiny gravemarkers, I felt overwhelmingly angry as if I had been injusticed. That was when Jim told me who Red Jacket was and what happened. Oh yeah, and there was a funeral.
It was 2pm, so nothing was showing up. I had low hopes for our supposed haunted museum visit.
We went to the Buffalo Museum of Science, in yet another redone old building. Nice place. They had a turtle skeleton.
Immediately after taking that pic, I felt like I should take a picture. Not specifically of anything, but just a general direction. I came up with this one. Note orbs above Dave's shoulder, the doorway, on the beige wall, and most importantly, the big freaking red one in the lower right.
I exclaimed and right away took another pic aimed in the same direction. Wave to Dave and Jim! Jim was just turning around to ask me what I had exclaimed over. You can see the red orb has moved and faded a bit.
I ran over to show the guys, but not before taking one last pic aimed directly at where the red orb had been. The guys were thrilled that nothing was in the pic, proving that at the very least, it wasn't a spot on my lens.
An Egypt exhibit. There was a sign outside saying no cameras. Who are they to tell me what to do? Here's a mural! It had a light shining behind the painted moon. VERY nice.
I just want to know what the gadget on the end of the shelf is. Is that a food processor? VERY ancinet, I tell you.
But, what were those? Christina, I present you with canopic jars.
Jim was entranced by these statuettes. I was busy fending off weird energy. There was a weird-energy-radiating mummy in the next room *shudder* I hate mummies.
Guess what? *wiggles* THEY HAD DINOSAURS!!! Here's a T-rex head. I focused entirely on picture quality in this room. Looking for good desktop pics.
A complete allosaurus.
Our collective favourite piece, the triceratops. Jim pointed out to me four hours later when we got back to their house that there are two whitish orbs in the upper right of the pic. Stupid orbs, ruining my trike piccy!
Was there ever a better photo taken of a trike skull? Possibly, but I still like mine.
I found a tight squeeze passage to the back of the skeleton and dropped to take pics.
I was holding the last four or five tailbones for this pic.
They had an ant encased in amber. DUN DUN DUUUNNNNN JURASSIC PARK
On the third floor (the second floor of exhibits) there was a room which made me think of Tibet. It was a Tibet room. A man made this...sculpture(?) with coloured sand. By hand. Possibly right in this very spot, since I don't see a way to effectively move a large tray of sand. Grain by grain? No, that's too many grains. They'd have to count them...Dave has a pic of me taking this pic. He was getting a control picture for a very startling image he'd gotten in this room of a BRIGHT white bar running vertically down the left side of his shot.
The third floor wasn't very exciting. It was about space. The most fun thing up there was a scale which would convert your weight to what you would weigh on each planet, the sun, and the moon, oh, and Pluto. I weigh 4.6lb on Pluto!! I netted one of my favourite pics up here: Jim looking at a picture of Diana. He thinks it's a(n?) hilarious picture.
Dave was drawn to the archaeological dig room, but his cam's batteries had died. The orb is in the upper left.
A few in the upper right, and a few more above the left of the door.
Here's a break from orb pics, as I realize they get a bit tedious. Buffalo/Amherst is full of amazing architecture.
I just thought the peak was cute.
We were waiting for Dave's mom to get off work from the brown building with the ivy on it. I like climbing ivy.
On the way back to Fort Erie, we passed another graveyard. I just think these two shots of it are pretty.
Obelisks were EVERYWHERE in these graveyards.
Dave has a cold. He's still cute.
He was getting very tired of me constantly taking pics of him.
But consented to a snuggling pic.
And demanded a 'gangster' pic.
Oh, look, two orbs on the basement floor and one on the left wall near the picture. The Johns house has spirit, how bout you?
In case of doubts, here's my control pic.
Dave framed with pumpkin lights? Amazing. The blue glow is from his aquarium.
I had to leave, but not before I took some pics of t
he dark house. The red light on the left is their cordless phone. The one on the right is on the wall where the family portraits are. Dave says this is one of the eyes that haunts him.
Control pic.
I chanced one more before I left. Oh, look, it's going downstairs to wait for Dave.
Fort Erie's fort, Fort Erie. Easily the most and worst haunted place in town. Could I get a pic of ANYTHING astral or paranormal? No. But enjoy what I did get. The sky was clear, so the white is clouds.
Kraft Road, which I am very frightened of. Besides my gauges, you can seen an orb in the trees. BTW, never taking night pics by myself EVER AGAIN. I scared myself silly with the rest of these.
If you see anything in this one, let me know. I just think it's creepy and represents what my drive home felt like.
This isn't a very well-recognized place in Fort Erie, yet it's right along Hwy 3: a masoleum right by the battlefield of the Battle of Ridgeway. When I drove Kristy by it a couple years ago, she said there was a person standing at the door. What do I get? Weird, coloured orbs. And...a vortex? Kristy, help me out here.
At the intersection where the Williams Funeral Home is. Uh, is that ecto mist that I see in that tree? Yeah, I squealed when I saw this picture.
And now, the part where I REALLY get frightened. When I first drove Kristy by this cemetery, she told me to avoid it at all costs. I brought her here with Dave one day for a ghostwalk and she found some frightening things in it. Now, the green light on the left and the orange light on the right are both lights. The rest, I have no clue. Does it look like an orange man standing behind the fence on the left?
You can see along the middle-bottom of this one where lights are. This picture frightens me in a bad way. My heart races when I look at it. There is what appears to be the form of a woman in a gown crossing th elower gith of my picture...I could not see her on the playback on the camera, only when I opened the pics for viewing on this computer. Oh, and there's a lot of activity in the upper right. WOMAN IN GOWN.
I'm not sure what's going on here. There's a streetlight, that much I can tell. Hey, not all of my pics are clear and nice.
Two streetlights, a circle in the upper right that is my camera, and some strange orb patterns. Is that another vortex of red orbs? KRISTY PLEASE REPLY OR CALL ME WHILE VIEWING THIS ENTRY. Oh, and astral smoky stuff on the right.
Last one before I drove away. Oh, an ecto plasm in the upper right, how nice DRIVE AWAY FASTER.
Upon returning home and parking, I took this pic of the moon to show you just how clear a night it is. Obviously, it's not snowing.
*shakes* Oh boy. This was a very difficult post to type up. I...that woman form. Please somebody else tell me you can see that.
I would like to know how I expect to get to sleep tonight.
Took 1h 8m to prepare.
