reflect Ken's reluctance to feel pride at his assassinations and his reluctance to enjoy killing. *g* That shows up somewhat in one of the drama CDs too (can't remember which one), where Aya has to hold Ken back because Ken's gotten to liking killing a little too much. Ken's... yeah, probably the most unstable of Weiss.
Hot damn, though. Nice analyzation, and though it being Weiss Kreuz makes me wonder at how much was accidental, just, it makes sense. >o<-b! By the way, do you know whether the original character designs are Tsuchiya's, or Koyasu's, or both's? Because the lawsuit was Koyasu v. Tsuchiya, but whenever you hear about the similarity in character designs/histories/whatever, it's always Koyasu who stole it. OOO: 'cause WK started as a radio drama, right?
The drama CD it comes up in is a Gluhen-period recording called Fight Fire With Fire. Ken actually goes out on his own at one point looking for targets, picking fights, because he's craving violence. Unstable. Very very unstable.
I might have just pulled most of it out of my ass, to be honest. I think too much. And I ramble. This is a deadly combination.
The beginning of the Weiss timeline is drama CD prequels. WK started out with AAaWS, though. The characters are Koyasu's creation, and he wrote AAaWS, but Tsuchiya is the artist that designed the characters, from his descriptions. The designs themselves belonged to Project Weiss, which they were both a part of. Tsuchiya signed paperwork when work was started on Kapitel, to authorize the use of her designs (set, clothing, character) on an anime series.
The problem arose during Gluhen because Tsuchiya had only authorized the one series, not two, and the paperwork was originally worded in such a way that Koyasu had just gone on and started producing Gluhen.
Crashers: Knight and Ran is a drama CD that begins the series, speaking chronologically. Ran was in Crashers before he struck out on his own as an assassin and attracted Weiss' attention. The canon is screwy there, though, since they know him as Ran, and the anime claims he took his sister's name before Crashers. This is because Koyasu likes to make up backstory after the fact.
And to address your last comment, I've done it. Sat down with all the canon and put it in the most logical order. If you want, I could send you the list/explanation.

xDDD But it works, so.
Ah, IseeIsee. But damn. *headdesks* The whole lawsuit was kind of ridiculous, from what I remember of it.
Heh, the Weiss timeline is speshul and contradictory. *always meant to make sense of it one day, but...*
