i <3 winter break
so i headed up to bittersweet today with nick and amber. Just as we got out of our car at the parking lot there were 3 people leaving who asked if we needed passes, and sold us there passes for 10 bucks a piece as opposed to the 30 it would have cost at the gate. Amber managed to lose hers on like the third run, it's no big deal to get a replacement, but when they started asking questions about who she bought it from and so forth she paniced and told them nick bought the passes for her. Thankfully Nick's as convincing of a liar as i am (one of the better skills one develops working retail) and we got her a new one and hit the hills again. Women, your damn good at screwing with men's minds, but you really need to learn to lie well in more practical situations. Though the idea of a woman with convincing practical lying abilities frankly scares the hell out of me, so scratch that last thought. Nick got caught off guard by a chair lift and fell, they had to stop the lift for him to reorient himself and get in place for the next chair. Needless to say, i laughed my ass off at him. However, karma's a bitch, because not 5 minutes after that i hit a jump going a little to fast, caught a little more air then i intended, and bit it on the landing. ALMOST managed to recover the landing, but nope, ended up flat on my ass and had to scurry outta the way before three snowboarders flattened me like a pancake. No serious injuries, however it did take me about 5 minutes to click back into my ski i lost 'cause of the crappy bindings on the rentals i had. Still was a total blast overall, wish i could have gotten more time in but i'll definetly be going again sometime soon.
so i'm getting crap for hours here in k-zoo over break, so i'd planned to work both the kalamazoo best buy and the jackson best buy over break to get some money built up for next semester. Did it last week no problem, worked 3 days here for 13.5 hours and 3 days in jackson for 21.5 hours. However this next week they've got me scheduled here 5 days so i don't have time to go home for a couple days to go home. If i got decent hours that wouldn't be a big deal, but i'm getting a whopping 25.5 hours here. kalamazoo best buy, your on my shit list.
Bah, my stupid ass stayed in bed till about 2:00 in the afternoon today, caught up on alot of sleep but now i'm to awake to fall asleep and i've got work at 9:30. If i can't fall asleep within 2-3 hours here i'm just gonna start brewing coffee and stay up all night, i can't afford to be late, i've been late to many times so one more and i'm out of a job. Ah well, whatever happens'll happen, eventually i'll either end up alright or whoring myself out. either way, i'm makin money right?
On the plus side, I'm going to a hockey game tomorrow night. Skiing and a hockey game, i think that's the most extracurricular activities i've done in one weekend that didn't involve drinking since before i moved to kalamazoo. I wonder if thats a bad thing... nope, seems like a good thing to me. Anywho, off to go trick myself into sleeping, merry christmas to all!
