I think I'm super thankful that I enjoy movies/stories/miniseries just for the sake of enjoying it. I never experience strong preference to how character should behave, or who they should end up with or how many kids they should have. It's like when Grissom leaving CSI, some fans were like, "No CSI without Grissom, I would never watch CSI again" or "why did he end up with Sara? He has more chemistry with Lady Heather". maybe because I don't truly invest myself on this kind of things. My cousin, who own all the Grey Anatomy's episode is always like "Meredith should end up with McDreamy, Meredith should end up with McDreamy" For me I just don't like it if the stories becomes too repetitive like what happened with Ross and Rachel in Friends.

For me stories/characters should evolve. How? I leave it to the writers. they are paid to write the story anyway. However, I do have slight problem with adaptation, especially if I love the book in the first place. It's like in LOTR, it would irked me if they put Arwen at Helm's Deep (it irked me also that Arwen stole Glorfindel role in saving Frodo) but these factors do not prevent me from enjoying LOTR (all three of them) because at the end of the day adaptation is not easy, certain creative license should apply. Nor do i feel like retching everytime they show Arwen (in fact I think she's pretty hot). Like Transformers the Movie, some of my friends really hate it because it was not the Transformer that we grew up with, I agree with them that it was different but it does not prevent me from enjoying the movie in the first place.

Like incest theme in Supernatural Fandom. Incest in my society is frown upon even more worse than gay culture and it's actualy squick me a lot but this does not prevent me from trolling the fandom looking for reading material.

I think this give me slight advantage because by not having preference, I'm able to enjoy a wide variety of entertainment. I can go to Mariah Carey concert and Coldplay concert. I can watch How I Met Your Mother today and watch CSI:Miami tomorrow. but to each his or her own opinion. Normally, this passionate ppl would grow to write their own story which I'm sure that I'm going to enjoy reading/watching anyway. People like me would always need this passionate people because otherwise who will provide a wide variety of entertainment for us?
