Let's Review

It's almost the holidays! We all know what that means, right? Right. Time for my YEAR IN REVIEW!

Lessee...I did nothing. Seriously. So far, I went to school, went to work, went home, went back to school. Sure, there were a few fun nights in there spent playing darts (which, by the way, I found out is not a "slang term" for throwing darts at people), playing pool (doesn't mean hitting people with the cues, apparently) and generally acted like a ne'er-do-well. This would lead you to believe nothing happened this year. NOT SO!

I got lost in rural Pennsylvania going to Ray's wedding. First of all, when stuck in a car with someone for 16 hours, you find some things to talk about. After exhausting the portion of the trip where Andy and I got caught up on each others lives, we spent the remainder of it coming up with strange topics. One of these topics was the probability that somewhere in the world, at any given moment, someone is having sex with a dog. Yeah, I was wondering how we got on that one too.

At Ray's wedding I met Desi, started dating her, and became accustomed to the fact that I'm dating a girl with a kid. Yes, it scares the living shit of me on a daily basis. Standard comments include "Don't put the cat in the VCR" and other similar statements.

I transferred to U of L, where I've done alright in my major. The real shocker was realizing that one of my professors looks just like Kenny Rogers. I may hate the man, but I really want him to break into a rendition of "Islands in the Stream" just so I can say it happened. At the same time I reconnected with several old football buddies I hadn't seen in years, and started making a list of the stuff I've done since high school for the reunion this winter.

My grandmother passed on, something not really worth talking about in detail because I've already dealt with the grief as well as possible and I don't feel like hearing condolences again.

I've decided to pursue a Master's in History with an ultimate goal of being that weird professor. I like the idea.

And...well...that's it. Other than the television shows I found a love for ( Scrubs
