Just enjoying my weekend. Melissa and I went up to Birmingham for Laura's wedding which was yesterday. It was at the same church as Christa's - and it was a beautiful service.
Friday night we had dinner with my parents - my dad is still sober (praise God) and he also recently got a hearing aid. He can actually HEAR what people say - and he dosen't yell out his responses.
We stayed over at Christa and Michael's house Fri night - played RockBand most of the evening. Woke up on Saturday and bought Journey tickets online for Aug 6th. That is something I'm excited about - it will be a great reward for the end of summer semester. They are playing down by the beach and we are going to make a long weeknd of it.
Summer is going to be pretty intense. Lots of reading. I might be getting laid off from my job this coming Wed. I am only working 18 hours per week and I asked if I could go down to 12 hours. They have a ton of people that have applied for part-time work who would probably be able to work more hours than I am for less pay. So...he said we would talk about it on Wed. I am going to say that I need/want the job through Summer semester like I originally had planned. I know that once Summer semester is over I will not be able to work. As it is, 18 hours of work, plus 12 hours of class time (double that for 24 hours of school-related-study-time), and 4+ hours of work at the Athletic Center makes for a really crowded week. I would apply for food stamps but you have to work 20 hours per week to qualify.
Blah. I am ready for this week - I live for the weekends because that is going to be the time where I can rest a little. Today I am going to go see a movie.....
Hope I don't get laid off this week!
