OK, I'll start writing again

So i passed out on the couch for about 4 hours today, which is good because I otherwise have gotten about 10 hours sleep in the last three days. Unfortunately I was on the bad end of the couch so now my back hurts like a motherfucker. I had debated going to the last monday night football tonight, but I think I'm gonna pass again. I'm just too tired on monday nights to feel like going out. Too bad this was my last 24 for a while, next week I probably would have been up for it. My schedule is doing strange things this month. There will be a stretch where I work 6 days in a row, but it's spread over 2 different weeks, so no extra overtime or anything. New Years Eve wasn't too bad a shift. We all celebrated at midnight, no crews were away. SFD had some fire call, but it didn't affect us. I'll miss my sunday shifts for the next couple weeks. We had a good set of crews going and we were all decently tight, I was juniorest on the shift (next to Manjegungas) so everyone was pretty comfortable with eachother. Last night I was paired with Loving again. Christ. She was in a mood all day and whined whenever she couldn't get what she wanted. It's kinda like working with a white J-Lo. Maybe we should call her M-Lo. I spent a good portion of the night hanging out in dispatch with Keri and Dethorne.

So I got my new car Thursday. I picked up a 2003 Chevy Impala LS. The fucker cruises. The previous owner was the wife of the senior salesman at the dealership so it's loaded and all the maintenance was done on it. It's got heated leather seats, CD player, radio controls on the steering wheel, moonroof, and all other sorts of stuff. So I retired the Slick II before it could just breakdown on me like the original Slickmobile did. So I dub the new Impala "Slick 3: Beyond Thunderdome"

Slacker's leaving for Knoxville in late Feb, and he and I were talking about it the other night. He seems somewhat genuinelly scared to go. He considers mohawk his family.

I've decided for my Rochester friends that if I'm gonna talk about work, I should describe the people I've been talking about.

Mohawk Ambulance Cast of Characters (for this entry):

Slacker: probably my best friend at work, he was the first hawker to befriend me.

Keri: Good friend at work, have done a couple Long Distance Transports with her.

Dethorne: My fav dispatcher, very fair.

Loving: Thinks she's always right, gets really pissy and whiny.
