The ep. starts with fighting scenes of course. They look like in between scenes that happened between the scenes of ep. 40 as we see Yuuna still alright. Meyrin enters the AA bridge supporting Athrun in orb uniform. Milli is surprised to see Athrun standing, but he says he is kay. We see Murrue freeing Neo and giving him s Skygrasper (as a method to flee from the battle area? Dunno. ) We return to Cagalli speaking tu Yuuna as in last ep. and then to Murrue telling Neo that he is not Mwu while crying. Meyrim amd Athrun talking. with an between of the Minerva pilots. Meyrin is crying realizing what she has done I guess. She cries on Athrun. We then see the scene of Shinn deciding to go out and fight while remembering Mayu and Stellar. The AA comes out of the waters and Neo watches it. Now we get at last to the last scene we saw of Cagalli heading towards Destiny in Akatsuki. Murrue prepares AA. Op. song and commercials.
Gladys in Minerva receiving orders. Minerva heads for battle. Shinn's reaction at Akatsuki: "Nanda yo kore wa!?" Shinn seems pissed when he sees that Cagalli doesn't need to dodge his beams and turns into the "murderous butterfly". A bunch of grunts die in Shinn's hands trying to protect Cagalli-sama. The AA encounters Minerva and Minerva encounters the ghost ship, I mean AA. Shinn throws a boomerang beam thinggy and Akatsuki loses an arm. Athrun screams "Cagalli", but not as impressive as when he went "Kiraaaaaa". SF comes from the sky holding hands with IJ (this cracked me up) (Vestige in background starts) Of course Kira leaves IJ and enters battle. Minerva crew freaks. SF poses in fron of Akatsuki and Shinn has seen a ghost: "Freedom! Nanda! Sonna!" He remembers when he destroyed Freedom. Shinn turns into murderous butterfly again. Minerva and AA engage in battle. Battle between SF and Destiny has started. (comercial break)
Grunts being destroyed everywhere. A sphere capsule opens in the air and voila!! Entrance of the Dom Troopers!!! They start fighting. Lacus communicates with Murrue. The DOMS attack great together. Athrun arrives with Meyrin supporting him at where Lacus is. Athrun has flashbacks of Meer. Battle between ships continue. Kira goes seed fighting and then Shinn goes seed too. Rey contacts Talia. Civilians are dying in ORB. Unato died too?? (We see something destroying the area where the Orb council was) Djibril is escaping. Rey contacts Shinn to come back? Akatsuki landed and Cagalli encounters Yuuna and punches him. He was restrained btw. Lacus and Athrun speak. Cagalli interrogates Yuuna and asks where Djibril is. He says he doesn't know. DOMs fisghting and Kira computing and destroying. Shinn is back in Minerva. Kira is fighting grunts. Lacus is still speaking with Athrun. Can't even try to know what they are talking as my baby is screaming. Gomen. Minerva and AA fighting. AA sees the appearance of a Skygrasper. They are surprised when Neo contacts them. Murrue cries as she remembers Mwu's death. Djibril is reported not found even by traitor soldiers that are actually helping him escape and have killed fellow soldiers. Shinn going out to battle again and Luna wanted to go too, but Rey stops her. Rey goes out though. Kira sees Legend and Destiny. Athrun seems confused having flashbacks. The ending song starts with Athrun preparing himself in IJ. He dictates launching sequence and ep. ends.
The episode starts basically by showing us what is going on with the archangel while Shinn and Cagalli are fighting.
Neo is of course released along with a skygrasper. Murrue is very emotional during this and is even brought to tears. Neo also seems reluctant to leave.
Meyrin still has her hair down and is wearing one of the orb outfit that Athrun and Dearka sometimes wore in Seed. Athrun asks her to leave telling her that they will be fighting ZAFT. She latches onto Athrun and refuses to go.
Archangel launches.
Cagalli and Shinn's fight resumes. Shinn gets got off guard by the reflective armor at the beginning, but he switches to the sword immediately. Takes an arm off with aerial boomerang. Cagalli does a nice Athrun dual beam sword attack.
The Minerva picks up two unidentified mobile suits dropping. Another great entrance for Kira. He saves Cagalli. Shinn said something about Freedom and looked surprised. Rey is glaring at the monitor. Lacus has a cute flight suit. All pink of course, well maybe it had some white on it.
Kira is apparently able to stretch the size of his shield. He used a very small portion of his shield to block Shinn's sword. Both go seed.
The Minerva notices the Archangel. Only Arthur seems to be surprised.
Shinn's mobile suit ran out of power? Lame, maybe those wings of light are more trouble than they're worth.
Cagalli retreats to the command center. Despite the damage to her suit she destroys a few Goufs.
The DOM pod falls. No one knows what to make of them. Whose side are they on? They immediately attack ZAFT forces. Who compared these guys to the Astray Girls? They're way better. Awesome fighting by them.
Kira is owning while Shinn is gone recharging his unit. His Dragoons don't appear to operate on Earth.
Cagalli arrives at the station. She reprimands Yuna personally and asks of Djibril's location. She punches him this time. She also shoves him to the floor.
Elsewhere Djibril and a few soldiers are shown talking on a phone or something. There are several dead ORB soldiers near them. Perhaps they tried to stop them or something?
Lacus arrives. Athrun goes to meet her. He uses Meyrin as support. (He uses Meyrin as support pretty much this whole episode). Meyrin is surprised when Athrun calls her Lacus. Lacus explains to Athrun about a conversation her and Kira had before they launched and descended to Earth. Athrun still leaning on Meyrin is having doubts again. Eventually he makes up his mind and enters the Justice.
Rey and Shinn launch together. Rey had a conversation with Luna, but I didn't really understand any of it. I wonder why Luna hasn't launched. She could contribute a little bit.
Everyone not piloting the Strike Freedom or a Dom on Orb's side is getting owned.
Archangel and Minerva throw down a few times in the episode. All using their main weapons on each other. Neo saves the bridge from some missiles. Murrue gets all emotional again.
Athrun launches and the episode ends.
Pretty good episode. Meyrin still has her hair down, you have to love that. My guess is Meyrin will be the next person to have a long chat with Lacus. Lacus is shown in the extended preview talking to someone in the same spot that she was talking to Athrun in. Maybe this will lead her to the crew of the Eternal? About Lacus piloting even though she doesn't know how......Kira lead her in the whole way. Anyone could've piloted it. Even Sai.
