Welcome to UCSB. Now kick some ass.

Today marks the day that I move to UCSB. After a day of boredom, my roommate (who I thought was black) finally arrived. We had a hellacious time trying to figure out how we were gonna set up our room, but thankfully, the event and custodial staff were able to help both of us out in the process. I also met a lot of nice guys and girls today too, all of which were filled with vibrant energy and laughter - a must in an academic environment.

I didn't really come off as an a-hole, but I did come off as a cool person. I think I managed to break out of my shell due to my optimism and my love for the campus itself. Yes, I really do love it here... and the view I have of the ocean strengthens it.

It sounds really corny and uninspired, but in a way, UCSB's pretty much a first for me. Unlike the first time that I got kicked out of my parents' place, this time feels a lot more of a sincere step up - not like a forced change. It really feels like I'm accomplishing towards a greater good. But, however, trouble looms around every corner. And I can feel its very presence behind the laughter and the glee of my dorm mates. I just wish that the trouble isn't really that big of a deal...

And so, I go to bed without a roommate (since my roommate and my roommate's mom have to see someone in L.A. to get my roommate's TV and bicycle) and a download that's gauging about 8k/sec. I bid you good night to everyone.

BTW, my scanner and printer are NOT hooked up. XC and VSB remain dormant.
