マクラ営業

A daunting workload and mounting apathy towards school are not a good combination. At ALL. After class today I realized all the stuff I need to be doing so I decided to skip work. Oops. :/ As much as I love college life, the whole school part of it has really been a drag this semester. Lately I really want to go walking/running/do some kind of exercise, but I can't really justify using time on that since I have so much schoolwork. So I end up wasting that time on the internet instead. ^^; It's a vicious cycle.

Did 5 hours of karaoke on Friday with kaiwa people. That may seem long, but for me it actually doesn't seem long at all. In Japan I once went with two friends and did it for 8 hours, so 5 hours with like 9 people is nothing. :P I didn't get to sing half the songs I wanted to sing. I did finally pull off Sailing Day by BUMP OF CHICKEN though, so I'm happy about that.

Got an email from NOVA the other day saying I passed initial screening process and they just needed to a background check on me. Since I don't have any felonies, I guess that means I got the job? :P I'm gonna hold off on saying anything to my friends in Japan until it becomes official though.

And lastly, to all of you students of Japanese: I will give a cookie to anyone who knows what マクラ営業 means. My friend taught me this one the other day and I found it pretty amusing. Kinda sounds like the title of a Janne D'Arc or Shiina Ringo song. Gotta love having Japanese friends to teach you いやらしい日本語!
