Talk of the Day

So yeah, it's been a little while since I've updated this page.  I spent the entire summer working for Oregon Department of Transportation, inspecting surface pavement removal/replacement on Highway 62 and Highway 140 around Medford.  Before this summer, I hadn't done ANY construction work, and was a little freaked out crossing back and forth around/behind/between traffic and huge equipment.  Oh yeah, and most of the work was night work , between 6 PM and 8 AM or so, and I had an ex-Marine boss breathing down my neck all the while.  "Stressed the hell out" pretty much sums up my mental state for most days.  But, things eventually evened out, and me and ODOT parted on good terms.  I"ve changed a LOT over the summer.  Hopefully for the better.  It's hard to tell, and truth be told, I'm not too worried about it right now.
Anyway, I'm back at my brother's place in K.Falls now, with little fuzzy meowing critters and little shrieking mini-humans (my nieces!!!) running all over heck.  I'm heading into senior project for the next 19 weeks, where we plan out an entire 32-acre subdivision for a site in Klamath Falls.  Oh, and I'll also be studying for the FE (Field Engineering) Exam in April, which determines whether or not I can actually practice as an engineer.
         It's good to be home!
