New web series - English Teachers
I had no idea under which day I should categorize this English-language web series since it starred Jonathan Sherr of recent My Darling is a Foreigner fame and reminded me of my experiences as an assistant language teacher. Not that the day matters since I'm behind on posting entries. I stuck it under my miscellaneous "Tokidoki Tuesdays" because it was a hodgepodge of things and totally random.
Anyway, English Teachers is a comedy (almost parody) about a group of eikaiwa (English conversation) instructors, who have to save their school from bankruptcy. It is from the point view of Sherr's character, Tom Kellerman- the quintessential idealistic audience surrogate. New five- to seven-minute episodes are uploaded every two weeks on englishteachersseries.com. Here is episode one:
