Challenging Myself

I never liked jogging or running. this year, i tell myself that I need to overcome a feat by participating Standard Chartered Marathon 2011.

For me, there are alot of excuses not to turn up on the day of event. however i edged on. it is not how fast i want to finish this run but rather a challenge for myself to do something that i have never done in my life, run 10K in public organised event.

I set three KPIs for myself; namely:-
  • Turn up for the event, no matter rain or shine
  • Complete within 2 hours (since I didn't train and god knows when was the last "run" i did on the treadmill in the gym)
  • Back to work on Monday after the run (no matter how sore my both legs are)
The most satisfying achievement is I completed the race with run-walk-run in 1h 42mins.
