Cartier rings for him and her. it is so nice!
the evening dinner is a success. I was busy with reception and hence no time to take photos. now i have to wait for the photographers to do everything and show us the digital shoots and video.
there were a few incidents that bring me to tears and touch my heart.
first, it was Gina's mother walking down the aisle when giving her daughter away to my brother. both of them hugged each other for a long time - this touches me and Gina, too, cried. it is a simple task for mother to give her daughter away but the emotions are so mixed for both mother-daughter despite I was standing at the far end of the room. i know that deep down every mom dotes her daughter(s).
then, my brother giving his thank you speech, 1.5 pages long brought me to tears. i didn't expect him to give such a good and touching speech. he thanked my elder brother and myself for helping in their marriage and taking care of our dad. :) it was his way of showing his appreciation by making it known to all our relatives and friends. next, he thank Gina's mom for bring up a fine daughter, speaking both in English and Chinese. he broke down. he also thanked our parents for giving him what they can despite they faced difficulties in their lifetime, another teary session.
thinking back now, i am thankful of having both brothers for what they are despite i whined at times for their flaws. i am also a guilty culprit for doing that to my parents. the night has taught me alot.
thank you Meng & Gina.
