[Dream]

[ Hibari dreams of the past. The Sakura-kura disease keeps him weak, makes his movements sluggish and heavy as he battles his rival: Rokudo Mukuro. The taller man is all smiles and charm, mocking Hibari's attempts to knock him down, gloating about seeing Hibari bow to him again. Hibari is speachless with furry, physically broken and bloody, but he ( Read more... )

[Well. What do you know. At this moment Mukuro himself might be perplexed to the scene he's just come upon.

A forest, though false, filled with the most beautiful sakura? Check.
Something on the floor about to break? Yes, also there.
A devilish wicked smile on the victor to be? Indeed.

It's so real that the illusionist himself nearly has to question his own existence in that moment. It's not impossible to be in both places at once, but to his knowledge he is simply not. Yet Mukuro is still curious to this and can't help but approach, smile coming to his lips in a way not at all unlike his other's.]

Kufufu...My, what have I found here. This illusion, be it mine or yours, really is something isn't it, Hibari Kyouya?

[Oh, yes. This is exactly what his world needs: two Rokudo Mukuros. He can die happy now.

Except not at all and when he raises his head and sees this new Mukuro, he is both confused and very, very pissed off. He gets to his feet, tonfa in hand, ignoring his dream version for a moment for something that just seems more... real.]

Kamikorosu.

[Mukuro is always happy to oblige with having a double of himself, of course.

But more importantly, he's now regarding the situation critically. Hibari looks to be on the prowl now, an easy hint to just what this truth is. It's a little disappointing but still fun none the less. The illusionist isn't a fool though and braces himself the impending bite of an attack. Still...he can't go without mocking the shorter boy at least once more.]

Hah! But what a treat to know - even in your own dreams that you'll still kneel before me.

[Muscles twitch behind Hibari's right eye as he focuses all his hate towards the genuine article, ignoring dream!Mukuro entirely (which the other seems fine by, kufufu). Hibari rushes at him, tonfa slashing, desiring very much to destroy him. Now.]

[Mukuro acts accordingly, and quickly, trademark trident in hand and meets the clash of equally steeled weapons head-on.]

You'd lose twice so quickly? Kuhah, what a style!

[To speak would be to admit that yes, he'd been defeated. So Hibari stays quiet, concentrating on the fight at hand. He strikes high at his chest, neck, face, temples, anywhere he can, trying to maintain the offensive. The more he fights, the more his body seems to forget about Sakura and wounds which seem to melt away into the ether. Slowly he is leaving the dream of defeat in favor of a new one.]

[And but damn is Mukuro also quick to pick up on Hibari's new found strength as he is just barely able to parry off another blow. Admittedly, it's becoming hard to see with the sakura dissipating, but even in another's dream, this feel of Kokuyou is all too familiar.

He really has to hand it to Hibari for having such a precise memory.

And where one illusion falls, Mukuro can just as easily put up another, this time truly his own. The blunt end of his trident strikes the ground and Kokuyou crumbles before him into nothingness. The illusionist may go to the mat for his own melee skills, but he'll need the distance first.]

[Hibari notices his surroundings changing as more of an afterthought. Only Mukuro and his destruction matter; the terrain means nothing. He doesn't let up, doesn't want to allow Mukuro the room he needs. Distance is Hibari's weakness and he won't let it be exploited.

He will follow Mukuro wherever he goes.]

[It does make sense, Mukuro morbidly notes, what's an illusion to a target not watching. It's a center stage kind of job and Hibari HAS to be watching him. Well, that is the problem. Hibari is just too good at watching him. For a second he almost considers crashing right into the other boy to get his point across, but it's too risky.

Mukuro lets the useless illusion fall for now, what's one failed, and stops thinking about it the second the dream world's false floor is restored. If one tactic didn't work, it's time to move onto the next. If Hibari will go for his face, he'll just have to go for the other's legs.

Dirty and underhanded? He wouldn't ever peg Hibari to be above something just as equal.]

[One swipe at his legs and Hibari jumps back, grudgingly allowing for space to grow between them in order to keep his legs planted firmly below. He doesn't wait very long before he's charging right back at him though, jumping into the air to crash down on him.]

Guess who fails for forgetting this important detail youwillbe_mist September 19 2010, 06:46:40 UTC
[Not very long is enough time for the illusionist. A 六 is replaced by a 四 and suddenly the darkened room becomes just a little brighter as the Ashura flame covers his eye. Does this light make him an easier target? Maybe. But by his own standards, he won't underestimate Hibari or his ability to track him.

However Mukuro is nearly open to the next attack and has to waste his time defending. He catches the majority of it on his trident's staff and his shoulder -- by no means ideal, but being pushed back is much more in favor than stumbling to the ground.]

[Hibari smirks in his 'I live for this shit' way, pressing his advantage with every strike.]

Wao. Finally taking me seriously?

[Too late? He forces the trident outwards to open his body for a hit, moving in for a crossing strike to his chin.]

/o/ I realized that could have been a problem like 3 seconds after I'd hit post ...but yay! youwillbe_mist September 19 2010, 21:20:29 UTC
It's not fair to let you have all the fun.

[And that's about all Mukuro is privileged to say before, thanks to a broken guard, he is struck square in the jaw and sent crashing back and to the ground.

And but DAMN for a second Mukuro swears he's bitten right through his tongue - but Hibari isn't that lucky. He spits off to the side, a really unpleasant mix of saliva and blood, before looking up to the dark-haired boy.

Mukuro's grin is ever-present, but his eyes are regarding Hibari Kyouya in a manner of 'I really hate you'.]

[Hibari is very proud of that hit but doesn't wait to bask in it. He races back towards him, ready to knock the air out of him with a tonfa to the diaphragm.]

[Perfect. If Hibari wants to bite for a second time, then Mukuro has no problem with it -- granted that Hibari is willing to go through a new and unexplainable pillar of fire to reach him!]

[Pft. Physical wounds heal. Nothing will stop Hibari; just perhaps slow him down a little. He backs up enough to judge that it's real enough in a dream and changes course around it.]
