I have wasted this entire week.
Yes, I have been plagued by the bird flu, but still to waste an entire week in college is like academic suicide. Lucky for me it has not been one of those hellish weeks where I must read lots of pages (wait, I just didn't do that) and write lots of papers (well, I took enough medicine to get one of those in on Sunday).

I've spent lots of time in bed. Lauren has become more like my slave than my roommate. I order her around to get me Kleenex's and cough drops and all that jazz since my bed is kissing the ceiling now.

The nurse on campus is no good. No offense to the nice lady in the office who simply tells me to continue doing what I'm doing, but the nurse "pretender" (as Eva so affectionatley calls her) doesn't exsist. If she does and I still don't feel well I shall go to meet her at the crack of dawn on the ONLY day all my classes have been canceled in college. . . what a way to greet my day off!
Example:
"I can't hear out of my left ear."-Me
"Let me look,"-Nurse lady, who then looks in my ear, "Yeah, it's red in there."
"What can I do? I have an important meeting tonight too!"-Me
"Keep doing what you're doing. Sit in the front too."-Nurse lady

This morning when I woke up my hand was asleep. I kept trying to hit the alarm and move my arm, but it felt like it weighed a ton and wouldn't move. I tried to pick my hand up with my other arm, but no luck because that one was asleep too. I was quite amused by the entire experience. Has this ever happened to anyone else?

Yesterday I wrote my obituary. I'm not joking. I didn't even write it because I felt as if I were dying, but it was an assignment for my Writing for the Media class. Wow, okay so I'm not ready to die yet. It was weird.I left out that Lauren is NOT allowed to sing/play "May the Circle be Unbroken" at my funeral. Maybe I'll add on to my list soon. . .

I suppose I'll waste more time before the Student Government meeting tonight (where I will be sitting up front) by painting my toenails.
