What a wonderful weekend!
I've gotten lots accomplished! Friday was night of Mexican food and total hottness Jude Law in "Alfie". The movie gets a 1 in my book, but Jude proved to be a strong 8--okay, 9!
Saturday was mighty productive! 2 papers written, drawers cleaned out, got more organinzed, the entire dorm cleaned, and we hung our most beautiful boards up. Lauren and I were so proud of oursevles that we hit the mall. It was a nice trip, which produced 2 shirts, a pair of earrings, and the most perfect Hallmark card ever for Brittney. I think I have failed to mention that I am now addicted to the Hallmark store. Before I very much enjoyed it, but now I break out in hives and start shaking if I don't visit at least once a week.
My name is LeRae Edwards, and I am addicted to Hallmark.
Today I went to church with Susie-a very nice and small church that proved enjoyable. She gave me a tour of Glade Spring and now I am a fan. It reminds me of Haysi-DG, Pizza Plus-except they have a truck stop and it's more spread out.
Rant of the day: There is NO good food to be found on campus on a Sunday afternoon. The caf. is crap on weekends so I boycott it. The Hut was closed, as was the deli. I am NOT a fan of having to starve if I don't go to A-Town on Sundays. Emory and Henry listen to the voice of your starving student!
Luckily, I didn't have to starve long for my daddy (I *heart my daddy) came to the rescue. He was in Abingdon and called to see if I wanted to meet him, like he had to ask. I ended up going to Bristol with him to visit Uncle Haskell's family. Uncle Haskell passed away yesterday and he was such an amazing man. I have decided I am far too emotional to deal with death.
My favorite quote from my cousin Elizabeth today when speaking of her father: "I just lost the first love of my life."
On a MUCH brighter note, Christmas fever has hit my dorm! Lauren and I (well she did most of the work because I have the handiest roomie ever) put up our Christmas lights!! They look awesome!!
***Check them out here*** We already had our Christmas countdown chain--currently at 47 days, so this was just the icing on the Christmas cake. Well, until the tree comes next week.
