"If you cut yourself shaving, don't put a tornicut on it--your leg will fall off--go find a bandaid instead." *Things learned in the Marines*
The weekend was fun. It was beyond awesome to get to catch up with Brian and Keeron! Wow, I don't think I realized how much I missed them until they were here and I most certainly didn't want them to have to go back. Frequent e-mails from Glyn this week brought to the forefront how much I miss him too.
Spending the weekend with my church I saw how different things really are. Sitting in the youth section this weekend I felt complete, well not exactly because there were still so many missing pieces to our puzzle, but I felt more complete than I had in a long time back there. I am just amazed at how quickly things are changing in all our lives. It feels like just yesterday we were taking our first trip to Resurrection together, and now we all have incredibly different lives. I oftentimes found myself wishing that things were back the way they used to be this weekend, but I know that we all felt stuck and that we're finding our happiness still--just in a different way and place. Okay I'll stop talking like an old lady now....
Friday after the football game (beat Hurley, "My cat doesn't have any testicles), Britt and I had planned a late night Huddle House outing, but somehow ended up at the Double Kwick (def. the right choice--accidential stalking) and then my house watching movies, but I was satisfied.
Saturday night Tasha spent the night after the steak dinner at church. Good times! We watched a crappy movie and caught up on all the gossip known to man.
*Praise the Lord for no homework today! Yes, I got to take a nap and have some free time this afternoon!
*Crosses fingers* that I get in all my classes I signed up for next semester.
*I have lots of mail that I need to send to friends.
*60 days (2 months from today) until Christmas, according to our Christmas countdown paper chain (no, I'm not joking).
*I read Lauren LJ posts from last year's Gate City football game this morning. I laughed once again over Cody's game plan to beat GC: Run, if that fails get lots of bandaids and IB Profin. If that fails hit them in the mouth-LOL!
*I wrote in my real journal for an hour this afternoon. Good to vent.
I'm off to a Lyceum now-here's hoping that it's much better than the last one where the lady couldn't dance at all and wanted women to lay in the bed to avoid being abused-LOL!
