(no subject)
I am updating from my new laptop! I think I may be in love again-first, the cell phone and now the laptop. I am a technology slut.
I just arrived home from Kid's Day a few minutes ago. It was HOTT-like one needed water every 5 minutes to not suffer from heat stroke and keel over! Although it was a hot day it was successful nevertheless. I never tire of seeing those kids get all excited over an egg toss game or the smallest little prize. My favorite little boy this year played EVERY game we had and at the end he won the bicycle. He was beyond excited and kept jumping up and down. Yes, I had a Hallmark moment where I refused to let myself tear up, but I was reminded of what Kid's Day is supposed to be all about.
I had to interview Tabitha and Sagen for the TV station. Shanghi kind of sprung it on me last minute, but we went with it. I don't even get the channel (insert Birchleaf cable joke here) that it will be on! I looked like crap--Soffe's and a tank top after a day of sweating in the sun playing with kids--not my idea of proper television interviewing attire. It was fun though! Although I'll be studying mass communications for the next 4 years, public relations is my true calling, but I think I could settle for a television job :-)!
So I'm off again to de-Kid's Day myself (take a shower) and head back up to the exciting Dickenson County fair on the mountain. I have to close up the store's booth tonight so anyone who would be interested in keeping me company is more than welcome because I'll more than likely be all alone (but with an issue of Cosmo to keep me occupied).
