I walked in this morning to find four advanced reader copies of upcoming books waiting for me.
Among those were:
Enchanted Glass by Diana Wynne Jones (standalone)
and
The Summer Before by Ann M. Martin (Prequel to The Baby-Sitters Club
*bounces muchly*
If people are curious, the other two ARCs were:
Kristy's Great Idea by Ann M. Martin (and I rather like the new cover design). I presume it's been updated, so it goes in the TBR queue, so I can see if the girls have cell phones yet. Amazon doesn't have a cover yet, so I didn't post a link.
The Clone Codes by Patricia, Frederick and John McKissack. First in a trilogy set after the Cyborg Wars (with parallels to the history of American slavery), and one of the most intriguing covers I've seen in a while. This is the way to do covers, Bloomsbury. :|
If anyone needs me, I'll be reading.
PS. I gather there is something where you refer people to a site for books and get money if people buy stuff. Has anyone had any experience with those setups? Is it worth it? I'm not sure I'd go with Amazon, but their links were handiest for the books above.
