Awake again

This post will list names of places and people I met on the web over the years. Do not be offended if you see a name you think is yours and you have never met me. Perhaps you have, perhaps you haven't, and the names below that were once used by others you have picked up. If we have met, I have had many chat names over the years. Have patience.

After the birth of my second child, I began looking on the internet to occupy my time and distract me from depression. My mother had pointed me towards a certain chat program that she had been using, the name of which I cannot remember. D... something. I began speaking to others about whatever. I was drawn towards chat rooms that were about vampires - I think it was an RPG. I mostly just sat there and watched, thinking some of what was done there idiotic.
I did the unthinkable - I actually called a guy I met through the internet and had phone sex. I remember trying to figure out what was the big deal about it. Never figured it out. But I never spoke with that person again.

I met someone else, eventually, who pointed me towards the chat network TalkCity. A client/web based chat that was (at first) free to register and use. I registed the name deny7. I wasn't denying anything, but it was a nickname that only one friend ever called me and 7 is just one of my favorite numbers. Perhaps I should have made it deni7, then I wouldn't have been asked so many times what I was denying. =)
I floated around the different chat rooms for a short while, mostly singles rooms, just trying to find people to talk to and have cyber sex. I smile at this because of the fact that I never got any real sexual thrill from doing that, but I did get energy out of it. I became pretty suavvy with what I typed out over the years, being very desciptive. Except, if I happened to meet up with some idiot, at which point my responses would be short and lame and I'd surf the internet.
I always had trouble just blowing people off.

Eventually, I came to a chat room called VampHaven. I was curious as to who/what would be in there. I never knew that, when I entered that small space on the web, my who spiritual world would turn upside down. I remember being warmly welcomed and given leave to ask any questions I wanted. And I did. I asked many questions and got many answers.
I came to know those that had opened the room: HeartoftheDark, Pheonix, Wolfkin, Jenna, SILVER37, Damion(spelling not accurate), WarBladeKnight & SilentAngel, EyesofGold & MysticWolf, DragonRaven, LordGoth2000, WereCat, Malak, LiquidShadow, WyndGoddess, LaSkivolaVulpo, TheLadySteph, Scendera, ... to name some of the first, and most remembered, I met there. To truth, some of those people I met when the room moved, but I am not totally sure, it's been almost 10 years. Either way, all of those people touched me in some way - emotionally, spiritually, intellectually. If it wasn't for that one chat room in that small space on the web, who knows where I'd be today.

With this I conclude for today.
