CHALLENGE 042: WHAT IS THE QUESTION?

“39…40…41…”
Cedric stopped counting. He realised he is short of one more random gift for Hermione. So far, he had accumulated 41 gifts to surprise her. There are her favourite book series by some Muggle author named J.K. Rowling and also the latest updated edition of “Hogwarts: A History”. He knew that the latter was Hermione’s favourite book so he decided to get a copy for her, just so she can have her own personal edition for reference from now on.
Other gifts included a magical hair-brush with anti-frizz component. She can now have straight locks whenever she wants just by using it. He remembered the one time when Hermione’s hair frizzed so bad that even Crookshanks avoided her. He did not want her to be upset over her hair again so when he saw the brush by chance while shopping with his dad at Diagon Alley, he bought it with her in thought within a blink of an eye. Even his dad did not know of his purchase.
Plus he knew that Hermione had recently started her Society for the Promotion of Elfish Welfare or otherwise also known as S.P.E.W., he decided to help create special badges for her club. All four members of the club, including himself, get one.
As he goes through the gifts one more time, hoping there are no repetition, he still do not know what to give Hermione as her 42nd gift. Now you will be asking why 42 and not other random number? Well because the challenge is to have the number 42 included in this story so Cedric had kindly offer to help me by coming up with the idea of giving Hermione 42 random gifts!
Actually NOT! It is because they have been together for 42 months and Cedric thought it would be nice to give Hermione a surprise present out of the blue so he decided to go with this idea of 42 random gifts. Finally he thought of what to give as the last gift.
“42!” exclaimed Cedric.
Making sure the last gift is alright to go before he wrapped it, Cedric whistled as he inspects it. Held in his hand was a bottle containing hand-folded medium sized rainbow hearts which are magicked to glow when placed in a dark room.
All 42 of them!
