Molly rolled over in bed as the sun began creeping in the window. She looked at the goofy expression on her husband’s face and whispered close to him, “Good morning, Arthur.”

She gave him a syrupy smile as he blinked thickly into consciousness and kissed him on the cheek.

“Morning, Molly.”

Arthur awkwardly patted her on the head and then rolled onto the floor with a thud. A small “ow” came from the floor. An arm began groping the bedside table and grabbed a pair of coppery eyeglasses. Molly, still grinning, crawled over on her stomach to his side of the bed and looked down at him.

“I’m going to make you a big breakfast with your favorite dishes too.”

Molly was talking about the muggle dishes that had pictures of muggle children toys. She hopped off of the bed and pranced down the steps. Arthur sat up and took a moment to look confused. Why was Molly being so…amiable…at this time in the morning? Was it his birthday? No. Gradually he stood up and put his robe on. Looking in the lightly cracked mirror he scratched his head and shrugged his shoulders. The pungent aroma of bacon wafted up the stairs and like a cartoon characters Arthur’s nose hooked onto the scent and pulled him downstairs to see his wife still grinning widely while cooking big slabs of bacon, five fried eggs, thick slices of toast, bursting tomatoes, sleek mushrooms, thick, sweet beans and juicy sausages. On the table were the muggle dishes, a big jar of red currant jam and a dish of butter. The kettle began to whistle and as it did Molly flicked her wand and the kettle filled a large teapot. The house smelled as good to Arthur as water looks to travelers who have been lost in the depths of Death Valley for days. Confusion still lurked hazily in his head. A large vase stood empty on the counter by the sink. Arthur looked from the vase to Molly and with a shriek he tore out the door yelling “Be back soon!”

“Oh no oh no oh no oh no oh no.”

The dirt walk outside of the house had a veil of dirt rising from it and half way down it ended. In the Leaky Cauldron the clientele were surprised to see a tall, balding man in pajamas and a robe run through the door and out the back while mumbling madly.
