Harry had never believed he would meet a boy he hated more than Dudley, but that was before he met Draco Malfoy.

Fuming with wrath, Harry stomped furiously around the dormitory, occasionally lashing out with his foot at any object that dared to catch his attention. He was going to be late to Charms, but he was too angry to worry about it. Another Potions class, another trick by Malfoy had left him humiliated and livid with rage. But enough was enough. Malfoy deserved payback, and he knew exactly who could help him deliver some justice. Nodding his head, he felt his anger simmer down to a manageable level as all his energies began to work on a plan of revenge.

Later that day, when he’d finshed stumbling through a jumbled explanation to Professor Flitwick of why he was late to class that morning, Harry found an opportunity to corner Fred and George. Dragging them over to a quiet corner of the common room, he glanced around nervously before plunging into his story of how Malfoy had sabotaged him in Potions again, and what he proposed to do in return. The Twins eyes’ lit up, and bending their heads in close to Harry’s dark head of hair, they began to plot.

Ron and Hermione eyed Harry’s bright, anticipatory smile as they walked into the Great Hall to eat that evening with suspicion.

“What’s got into you, Harry? You were in such a foul mood this morning after Potions that I thought it would be at least after dinner that you finally cheered up!”

But Harry merely shook his head at their questions and nodded to Fred and George as they trio sat down. He hardly ate a bite, and Ron grew quite frustrated with his refusal to have a cake-eating contest with him.

“Well really, mate, I would think that you’d rather eat some of these cakes than stare over at the slimy Slytherin table all dinner. C’mon, there not worth the effort your eyes are putting into looking at them.”

It was lucky that Harry didn’t turn his eyes away from the table of green and silver to reply to Ron, because at that moment, something strange started to happen. Draco Malfoy had an odd look on his face, and his mouth was twitching as if he was longing to say something. After a minute, he couldn’t hold it in any longer, and jumping up out of his seat with a crash that attracted the attention of the entire hall, he said loudly,

“Well, I think you’re all talking nonsense! Of course Gryffindor are going to win the match tomorrow - they’re a fantastic team and I really think we should all give them a little more credit!”

Malfoy’s eyes were bulging in horror and rage as he desperately tried to fight against the potion that Fred and George had somehow managed to slip into his goblet of pumpkin juice. Harry didn’t know how they did it - the twins don’t reveal their secrets that easily, but he was happy to watch the results in glee as Malfoy couldn’t resist the urge to raise his glass and say,

“To Gryffindor, the best house at Hogwarts!”
