Challenge #86: Internet Encounters
Allow your brain to ponder: what would happen if/when the wizarding world (especially the youths) decides to explore Muggle technology, specifically the World Wide Web?
Why, is it that improbable after all? If we agree that the Second Wizarding War ended in 1998 (according to the HP wiki) or thereabouts, it seems probable that wizarding folk might be curious enough to explore the digital age and all that that entails. Since blogs, social networking sites and email (to name a few) have become quite commonplace in the Muggle world since the new millennium, it makes some sense that the wizarding world would have some knowledge of them.
Perhaps you'd like to have Scorpius create a Facebook account? (In that case, What Would Draco Do?!) Or maybe Hermione is bored and wants to write fanfiction about, I dunno, CSI?
You may include other Muggle technology (e.g. mobile phones, Playstations, Wiis) but the focus should be on the Internet/World Wide Web :)
Remember, if you complete both January challenges by the last Sunday of the month (30th), you earn your House an additional 10 points!
If you can think of it, write it! 30 minutes to write, as usual, but remember that you can always plan ahead :D
