So, this is like my first fic type thing ever. As Kristi has assured me it does not completely suck and I enjoy earning house points, I thought I should post it ;)
Summary: Neville shows his parents his Hogwarts letter.

Crumpled bits of paper.
"Throw it away," his Gran always said, but he never did. Always, he pocketd them. Always.
The latest piece of paper passed from his mother's hand to his today, but this one was special.
This was no candy wrapper. It was a letter.
"I'm going to Hogwarts, Mum!" he whispered excitedly, passing her the letter as if she would understand its contents.
She stared at it with unseeing eyes and passed it back to him. He beamed, knowing that for once his Gran would not want him to throw it away.
For once, she was proud.
