Title: Pancakes
Summary: It's been twenty years since Harry defeated Voldemort, and he's made pancakes for Luna, to celebrate a promotion at work. Using the prompt, "You are very endearing when you are half-asleep".

“BREAKFAST!” exclaimed Harry enthusiastically, knowing it was likely his wife was still sleeping. He’d conjured up a feast this morning - pancakes, syrup, eggs and coffee, and he couldn’t wait to share it with Luna. Harry had quite the spring in his step, as he’d just been offered a promotion at work, and was now home for the weekend to celebrate. Luna had been over the moon for Harry when he’d told her about the promotion, but she’d also been concerned for his safety.
“I just worry about you, in harm’s way all the time, seeking out dark wizards,” she’d expressed, her big eyes full of fear. Harry knew he couldn’t do much to assuage her fears, but he’d enveloped her in a big hug, reassuring her that he was always cautious, and that he’d survived worse, what with defeating the dark lord twenty years ago. Harry pondered how twenty years could have passed already, almost in the blink of an eye. Almost subconsciously, he put his hand to his forehead, stroking his scar. It didn’t hurt these days, but the feeling of relief that Voldemort had been defeated, stayed with him, wherever he went and whatever he did.
Mostly Harry tried to channel the mix of emotions into better things, like being a reliable and loving husband to Luna. As he stepped into the bedroom where she lay tucked up, Harry was struck by the silver glint in her white blonde hair, still as perfect and almost transparent as the day he’d first met her. “Darling…” he nudged her shoulder gently, “Would you like some pancakes?”
The ethereal blonde stirred very slightly under the quilted blanket. “Pancakes?” she mumbled, before sitting up slowly, her mass of hair covering her eyes, a very slight smile emerging on her pink lips. “Yes please”, she replied, as she wiped the sleep from her eyes.
“You know, you are very endearing when you are half asleep”, grinned Harry, as he placed the tray of food on Luna’s lap. “I love you”, he said, kissing the top of her head gently.
